Jim and Marj McAvoy, the proprietors of Kildonan Guest House, extend a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors. All rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished and all either have en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers or a private bathroom.

We offer a variety of room sizes including single, twin, double and family, and are happy to quote discounted rates for long stay, family or group bookings.

 

Aberdeen Attractions

 
Kildonan Guest House is only a short bus ride or a pleasant 20 minute stroll into Aberdeen city centre. Here you will find a great range of shopping, museums, art galleries, leisure and sport centres, music venues and a vibrant night life. The harbour, beach and award winning parks and gardens in Aberdeen, such as Duthie Park and Hazelhead are also within easy reach.

There are numerous restaurants and bars which cater for a wide range in tastes, from traditional Scottish, to international and exotic foods. There are several fine examples of these restaurants within easy walking distance of Kildonan Guest House.

With very easy access to the north and south on the A90, and to the west along the A93, visitors will be able to explore Royal Deeside, Donside, the Castle and Whisky trails, and the quaint fishing villages around the extensive north east coastline. This area is renowned for its heritage, and you will find countless fun days out, with activities for all ages and interests.

Visitors to Scotland could not go home without a round of golf, and Kildonan Guest House is suitably located for access to the many picturesque links and parkland golf courses for which Scotland is famous. Other outdoor sporting activities and events, such as the highland games, can also be experienced in and around Aberdeen.

Kildonan Guest House is conveniently situated in the residential west end of Aberdeen, on the corner of Great Western Road and Louisville Avenue. It is only 20 minutes from Aberdeen Airport and 10 minutes from Aberdeen Rail and Bus Station by taxi.

Driving from Aberdeen Airport:
Head west on Upper Farburn Rd 0.3 mi
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Argyll Rd 0.2 mi
Turn left at Dyce Dr 0.8 mi
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A96
Go through 1 roundabout 1.1 mi
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A96 1.3 mi
At Haudagain Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A90/N Anderson Dr heading to Perth/Hazlehead/Dundee/Stonehaven/Altens
Go through 5 roundabouts 3.3 mi
Turn left at A93/Great Western Rd (signs for A9013/A93)
Destination will be on the left 0.1 mi
