There is a beach nearby. Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. Cots available on request. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. Garden and/or patio area for guests Hairdryers are available in rooms or on request.
We have on-site parking. There are scenic walks in the surrounding area. Smoking is not permitted in the establishment. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have TV.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Chesil Beach Lodge is located on the Coast Road, high above the 'best kept' village of Burton Bradstock. It is a wonderful location to enjoy the beautiful heritage coastline of West Dorset, to tour and explore 'Hardy Country' and the surrounding historic towns and villages. There is direct access to the beach and coastal footpaths, which offer fine walks and panoramic views over Lyme Bay.

All rooms include....Hospitality trays, TV's, Radio/alarm clock.

The following are available on request....Hair dryer available, Iron + ironing board available on request, Cot available, Additional beds available (some rooms), Picnic hampers (at extra cost), Ample off road parking.

Enjoy a breakfast of local fresh produce served to your room. Breakfast served in room.

Standard large double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and featuring super king size zip 'n' link beds which can separate into twin beds.

Historic Houses & Gardens
West Dorset boasts some of the finest gardens and historic houses in the south of England. Take your pick from the Tudor manor house with Grade I architectural gardens of Athelhampton, the unusual Sub Tropical garden of Abbotsbury or the listed English Heritage garden of Kingston Maurward. To the north there is the 16th Century Castle of Sherborne, the 12th Century Forde Abbey or the spectacular valley garden of Mapperton. Not to forget the 17th Century walled garden of the Town Mill at Lyme Regis, the landscaped Rhododendron gardens at Minterne, the superb Tudor castle at Portland and the national collection of water lilies at Bennetts Water Gardens.

Museums
West Dorset has a variety of museums where you can explore the history of Bridport , Beaminster and Lyme Regis. In Dorchester you are spoilt for choice with the Dorset Teddy Bear Museum, the Keep Military Museum, the Terracotta Warriors Museum and the Tutankhamun Exhibition. You can visit the Roman Town House or walk out to the imposing hill fort at Maiden Castle. Visit the Dorset County Museum, or discover the thrilling world of dinosaurs at the Dinosaur Museum.

Family Attractions
Our fascinating museums and exhibitions are a great place to start, from an exciting look at dinosaurs , to the myths and legends of Ancient Egypt, the Terracotta Warriors and giant teddy bears. Why not visit the animal park at Kingston Maurward and make sure you don't miss out on the chance to see baby swans hatching at Abbotsbury Swannery! You can even visit a world of rescued and endangered apes and monkeys at Monkey World . When it comes to a bit of family adventure try quad biking at Henley Hillbillies or an armoured fighting vehicle at the Tank Museum! If you fancy something at a slower pace, enjoy a scenic tram ride. Why not experience life onboard an aircraft carrier at the Fleet Air Arm Museum or visit the Haynes Motor Museum, which features a children's race circuit!

From The West (via Honiton on A35)
Ignore signs into Bridport
At first roundabout (Crown Inn on right), take the third exit onto B3157 towards Abbotsbury and Weymouth.
Continue on this road for 2-3 miles and you will enter the village of Burton Bradstock.
Pass through Burton Bradstock on B3157 and follow signs for Weymouth
On leaving the village you will pass a right-hand turning to Hive (Burton) Beach on your right. Continue past this turning and up a short hill.
Chesil Beach Lodge is the first property on the right-hand side just beyond the brow of the hill.

From The North (via Beaminster on A3066)
On entering Bridport continue straight across first mini roundabout and continue for a mile to a second larger roundabout
Continue straight across this larger roundabout and follow signs for Honiton (A35).
At third roundabout (Crown Inn straight ahead), take first exit onto B3157 towards Abbotsbury and Weymouth.
Continue on this road for 2-3 miles and you will enter the village of Burton Bradstock
Pass through Burton Bradstock on B3157 and follow signs for Weymouth.
On leaving the village you will pass a right-hand turning to Hive (Burton) Beach on your right. Continue past this turning and up a short hill.
Chesil Beach Lodge is the first property on the right-hand side just beyond the brow of the hill.

From the East
On entering Bridport continue to first roundabout (petrol station on left) and take the first exit (A35 to Honiton)
At the next roundabout take the first exit onto B3157 towards Abbotsbury and Weymouth
Continue on this road for 2-3 miles and you will enter the village of Burton Bradstock
Pass through Burton Bradstock on B3157 and follow signs for Weymouth.
On leaving the village you will pass a right-hand turning to Hive (Burton) Beach on your right. Continue past this turning and up a short hill.
