Pk Lodge Bed and Breakfast is located in a beautiful Irish countryside setting with lots of free safe parking. Kathleen and Pat’s bandb provides comfortable high quality accommodation in a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.

All our bedrooms are en-suite with TV in rooms; each bedroom has it's own matching colour scheme, creating a warm relaxed atmosphere; and with comfortable firm support beds, you are sure to have a restful holiday.

With home baking, you can have a full Irish breakfast, vegetarian, continental, or if you have any special requirements, Kathleen & Pat will endeavour to fulfil. The guest lounge is the ideal place to relax, and enjoy complimentary tea or coffee served with cakes and biscuits. Here you have the chance to chat to other guests and read about the local visitor attractions.

We will be delighted and happy to give recommendations and advice on local attractions and assist you in any way. Free Internet Access and wireless broadband is available free of charge to all our guests. PK Lodge bed and breakfast accommodation, is recommended by Michele Erdvig and is approved by the Ireland’s tourist accommodation board, Cork-Kerry Tourism and by B&B Ireland.

 

Skibbereen Attractions

 
Pk Lodge Bed and Breakfast accommodation is the perfect location for anybody on his or her genealogy trail as the Skibbereen Heritage Centre is just a two-minute drive away; here you can commemorate the famine of the 1840s and visit the nearby famine graveyard of Abbeystrewery .You can also view a documentary on the unique salt-water lake of Lough Hyne.

Skibbereen is a very central location for exploring the fantastic unspoilt scenery of the Southwest Atlantic coastline of Ireland. West Cork is located in the South West corner of Ireland. It stretches from Kinsale to the Beara peninsula and boasts some of Ireland’s most spectacular scenery. Due to its coastal location West Cork is a haven for all types of water –based activities. Skibbereen is less than a fifteen minute drive to Baltimore where you have sailing, diving, sea-angling and windsurfing, there are ferry services to the nearby Islands of Cape Clear and Sherkin.

The spectacular setting of Glandore with its famous Drombeg Stone Circle and the fishing village of Union Hall which has kayaking, sea-angling and whale and dolphin excursions are only a ten minute drive. Rosscarbery and Clonakilty are further on and here you can trace the footsteps of General Michael Collins and visit the beautiful sandy beeches of Inchydoney. There are many safe and sandy beeches in West Cork. There is Salmon and trout fishing in the Ilen River, which flows through the town of Skibbereen.

The well known and spectacular attractions of Mizen Head, Ring of Beara, Healy pass, Glengarriff woods, Garnish Island, Bantry House, sheep’s head, Gouganne Barra, and even the Ring of Kerry have been visited by our Guests who made Pk Lodge their base for a few days.
