Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Ardrose is a popular B&B and the ideal place to stay as it is located in the town centre of Dundalk and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The train station is only a 3 min walk. We are conveniently located to the Marshes Shopping Centre and beside Diageo. The Tain Theatre is nearby and DKIT is within walking distance.

Your host Teresa will serve you a freshly cooked Irish breakfast with freshly brewed coffee or tea. We can also quote you a rate without breakfast.

Free private parking is available.

Louth, Ireland's smallest county, situated midway between Dublin and Belfast is a place where thousands of years of history and myth combine with undulating valleys and mountains. From the Cooley Peninsula with its heather clad mountains sweeping down to Carlingford Lough in the north, to the beautiful Boyne Valley with its internationally famous Neolithic passage tombs, and the medieval town of Drogheda, in the south of the county.

The city of Newry in Northern Ireland is 19 kilometers away.

Dundalk is perfectly situated halfway between Dublin and Belfast being 50 miles from both. With the M1 motorway on the outskirts of the town, Dublin Airport is only 45 minutes drive away.

Driving from Dublin to Dundalk:
Head north towards M1 Belfast and exit at junction 16 Dundalk South and follow directions for Dundalk onto Dublin Street, pass McDonalds and at the second set of traffic lights turn left onto Anne Street - Ardrose B&B is on the left hand side facing the Friary Church.

Driving from Belfast to Dundalk:
Exit at junction 18 Dundalk North and onto bypass N52. Cross Tain Bridge and at the second set of traffic lights turn right for town centre. Continue driving through Francis Street and pass Imperial Hotel on Park Street. At the second set of traffic lights (sign for train station) turn right onto Anne Street. Ardrose is at the top of Anne Street.
