Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. Cots available on request. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. There are golf facilitiesor nearby. Hairdryers are available in rooms or on request. We accept all cards that display the Mastercard logo.
We have on-site parking. There are scenic walks in the surrounding area. All rooms have a shaving socket. We accept payment with Switch & Maestro cards. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have TV.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Molland House, set behind a fine avenue of old lime trees, has a very interesting history and has been written about in many books such as “A Corner of Kent, Ash-next-Sandwich” and of course the famous “Hasted’s History of Kent”.

The rooms comprise of twin bedded or double rooms, plus a large four poster room complete with wide screen TV and a three seater settee.

All rooms have been decorated to a high standard and have many little extras which previous guests have all loved including fresh flowers in each room and in all public areas.

The house is fully heated and each bedroom has radiators with individual thermostatically controlled regulators. The dinning room has an open fire which is lit on cold winter mornings.

As we are a family run B&B we welcome guests with children of any age and can provide many items including a travel cot and bedding. For guests that need additional storage for cycles we have an outside store which is locked at night and for golfers we can provide extra storage inside the house.

Dog owners will be pleased to know we do allow dogs but we ask to be advised when the booking is made.

Canterbury Attractions

 
The grounds of Molland House are home to some interesting wildlife including little owls that nest every year, green woodpeckers, the great spotted wood pecker plus a cockoo.

Ash village is only 3 miles from the medieval town of Sandwich. The towns of Canterbury, Deal, Dover, Ramsgate, Broadstairs & Margate, with their shops and entertainments are within easy reach by road (& rail from Sandwich).

Close proximity to the port of Dover provides for convenient ferry trips to France. In addition day trips to Paris via the channel tunnel link or London provide excellent opportunities for sightseeing or business travel.

Golfers have many courses to choose from, including Pay 'n Play all within easy travelling distance.

Come down M20 direction Dover, come off at junction 7 and turn left onto the A249 for Canterbury & Sittingbourne.

Go over Detling Hill (A249) and when you come to roundabout go left onto M2 for Canterbury.

M2 ends and splits for either Canterbury or Ramsgate you come off junction 7 and join the A2 direction Canterbury.

When you see signs for Canterbury ignore them unless you want to go into the city first. When you see sign for Bridge and Howletts Zoo take that exit and turn left.

Go past the Zoo and when you come into Littlebourne turn right (care nasty bend) onto the A257 direction Sandwich.

Continue along the A257 through Wingham you then travel along a very straight stretch of road you will see a pub called the Frog and Orange and a little way after that a sign for Ash, Staple & Guilton take that exit & turn right into Ash.

Go past another pub on your right called the Volunteer and a little way after is Molland Lane turn left into Molland Lane, after a sharp right bend Molland House is on the left and can be seen from the road.

Nearest Railway Station: Sandwich  (3.3  Miles)
