Standing within its own landscaped gardens,this elegant Victorian family home has been carefully renovated & updated, keeping the sense of space & graciousness inherent in Victorian houses. Quality furnishings throughout, and & the use of character furniture & pictures has earned Thurlestone Lodge the coveted "Highly Commended" award by the AA.

Accommodation is provided in a twin or double room,fully centrally heated & with en-suite showers. Hairdryers, hospitality trays, radio & LCD television in both rooms.

For breakfast you can choose from a light continental to a full English, & this will be served in the period dining room.

 

Corsham Attractions

 
Corsham was originally a Saxon settlement, & some of the present buildings can be traced back to the 15th Century.
Corsham Court, with its beautiful gardens & famous art collection, the very old Flemish cottages, the Almshouses, the Church & the quintessentially English cricket green, all combine to make this a delightful base for you to explore this interesting part of the West Country.
A few minutes drive away are the picturesque villages of Lacock & Castle Combe, which are often used as the setting for period film dramas.
The World Heritage city of Bath is 8 miles away, & served by a half hourly bus service.

The Cotswolds - picture post card England only 1 hour away.
Stonehenge - 50 minutes
Longleat - world famous safari park & magnificent stately home. 40 minutes.
Cheddar Gorge & Wookey Hole - stunning limestone caves, & a resident witch - 50 minutes.
Stone circles at Avebury - a smaller but more accessible version of Stonehenge. 20 minutes.
Bowood - beautiful gardens & country house, with childrens adventure playground - 15 minutes.
Badminton - for the annual horse trials. 25 minutes away
