Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. Hairdryers are available in rooms or on request. We have on-site parking. Smoking is not permitted in the establishment. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

The spacious en-suite rooms have their own front door off the driveway via an inner hall, making it easy to "come and go" without disturbing us or other guests.

Garden Room

The quiet spacious ground floor, double bedded room is entered via an inner hall from the front drive. Double doors open out onto a secluded terrace overlooking a large and interesting garden. It has it's own TV, easy chairs and tea making facilities with a door to separate en-suite power shower, wash basin and toilets.

Cottage Room

This first floor spacious and quiet twin bedded room is also entered from the inner hall via a front door from the driveway. The window overlooks the spacious garden and sheep fields beyond. In winter you can see through the trees to the distant sea! The self contained en-suite facilities have a TV, easy chairs and tea making facilities and personal stairway to your own bathroom with a large power shower, sink and toilet.

Breakfasts are served between 8.00 and 9.00 o-clock in the oak beamed dining room via the inner hall. We offer you fresh melon, grapefruit, prunes and cereals to go with your English or Continental breakfast. Tea and ground coffee plus locally baked white and brown bread with specially produced jams and marmalade to finish.

A selection of herbal teas, coffee and chocolate are available for you in your room. Fresh milk can be kept within the small refrigerator - for guests own use - in the inner hall. Handy also for that bottle of wine taken in the garden on a warm evening!


 

Rye Attractions

 
Iden Village is near enough to Rye - 2 miles - to enjoy the restaurants, pubs and other facilities and then have a quiet nights sleep without the worry of parking or being woken in the early hours with "late night revellers" or "seagulls" at daybreak!

We are lucky to have 'THE BELL INN' (serves good food), 'IDEN VILLAGE STORES' (sells a wide range of produce including wines, newspapers, freshly baked bread, etc) and 'ALL SAINTS' Norman Church (for your spiritual needs!) The Village Hall, Bowling Green and Recreation Ground with village cricket and children's' swings makes this pretty village complete.

The footpaths and lanes around Iden make exercise for us and our dogs a real pleasure. Horses and Tractors are the biggest problem! In spring the apple orchards are a mass of blossom.

RYE has so many licensed drinking and eating premises - it goes back centuries when buildings selling alcohol were free of taxation! Plenty of choice - but the popular ones need booking in advance. We maybe able to help.
