Bedroom 1
This is a spacious circular room situated in what was the kiln of the Oast. It has far-reaching views over the countryside. It has a double bed and a single bed and can therefore be used as a family room. Two comfortable armchairs are provided with the country pine furniture. It has a private bathroom just across the landing.

Bedroom 2
Situated in the barn area, this bedroom has a large window in the opening where the hops were loaded onto the carts to be taken to the brewery. It has a double bed, country pine furniture and an en-suite shower room. There are views over the garden and to the Church opposite.

Bedroom 3 (available from March)
This is a suite with a sitting area with views over the garden and orchards and stairs to the bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The bedroom is a character room with sloping ceilings and large window overlooking the church. This room would not be suitable for guests with mobility problems as the stairs are quite steep.

There is a guest lounge to relax in with television and a real fire. Guests are welcome to use our large sunny beautifully landscaped garden.

We have a varied breakfast menu with use of local produce and will be pleased to cater for special diets.

Canterbury Attractions

Surrounded by orchards, Hernhill is still largely a farming community. There are several noteworthy buildings including a half-timbered manor house, and a 200 year old farmhouse which once housed parish paupers. In the churchyard of St Michael's there are the unmarked graves of Sir William Courtenay (Mad Tom) and six of his followers who were shot at the battle of Bossenden Wood,in 1838, the last armed uprising in England.

Five minutes walk from Church Oast are Mount Ephraim Gardens.

Half a mile away there is Farming World.

There are plenty of walks and cycle rides in the surrounding countryside.

Canterbury
The Catherdral is at the heart of this historic city. Visits can be made to Sites and Museums telling the story of the city's development through the ages.

Whitstable
The popularity of Whitstable oysters started in Roman times and you can sample them today in the harbour. Plenty of boating and water sports take place in this lively seaside town.

Faversham
This is an old market town with some interesting old houses. Boat building is still carried on by the creek. The Oare marshes are close by - a well known bird watching area.

Further afield there are a number of castles. gardens, museums and other attractions in Kent.
