Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Our idyllic 17th century cottage with exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces oozes charm and atmosphere.

Recently refurbished throughout to high standards, Green Orchard is the perfect cottage break, providing every modern comfort.

Hearty Breakfasts of locally sourced and home-grown organic produce, including fresh eggs from our own hens in the orchard, or if you prefer, continental style breakfasts. Any special dietary needs you may require can be catered for!

Choose from our luxury Double/Twin room en suite, boasting a super king sized bed, exposed beams and a wealth of natural character. Or, our luxury double room en suite with king sized bed, this room is on the ground floor and annexed from the main dwelling with its own private entrance. Both rooms are recently refurbished, spacious, light and airy with many modern conveniences.

Green Orchard has been awarded four stars by English tourism (Visit Britain); the perfect retreat for business or pleasure, set in quiet Gloucestershire; England.

 

Cheltenham Attractions

 
Deerhurst Walton is a cosy hamlet set in quiet Gloucestershire countryside. If you are walking or rambling there are plenty of footpaths and bridleways or quiet lanes for cycling, Birdwatchers can visit the Ashleworth hide.

Shoppers can wander into the famous Cheltenham spa. Cheltenham also is home to music, literary, food and wine festivals, my favourite being the food festival. Let’s not forget the ‘Gold Cup’ held at Cheltenham racecourse.
Then of course, there’s the Vale of Evesham, Gloucester docks, Tewkesbury Abbey, Stratford upon Avon with its theatres and the gleaming spires of Oxford. Must not forget our local jewel, the Anglo Saxon church at Deerhurst.

And there’s much more: take a river cruise from Tewkesbury, explore the labyrinth of local footpaths or browse farmers' markets – there’s plenty to do and see.

Deerhurst Walton lies between Tewkesbury and Coombe Hill, just off the A38.
Turn off the A38 at the traffic lights (B4213) heading for Ledbury, Apperley and Deerhurst.
After 100 yards, turn left for Deerhurst Walton. We are the first property on the left hand side.

We have two major train stations close by - Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa.
