Brecon Lodge B&B is ideally located for Cardiff City Centre and the Millennium Stadium, on the west side of the city, with excellent public transport by bus and train. Yet you are just five minutes walk from the delightful seaside, and a short drive into fine open countryside.
Bed & Breakfast is provided in three rooms - Two Twins and a Double, all En-Suite or with Private Bathroom. Each room is individually furnished and carpeted, with full central heating, coffee and tea maker, colour TV and easy chairs, all having a pleasant view across the surrounding area. Every bedroom is fitted with FREE Wi-Fi.
Brecon Lodge is an unspoilt family residence, evocative of the period, where you will be treated as the personal guests of the proprietor. At Brecon Lodge you have the choice of being within easy distance of Cardiff and its splendid amenities, whilst being away from the hassle and noise of a busy city centre. In just 15 minutes, you are at the Stadium, or shopping, or at your office, or seeing the sights. Unmissable!
Brecon Lodge is ideally placed to reach central Cardiff. Fast buses run every 8 minutes throughout the day, and drop you off outside the Millennium Stadium or St. David's Shopping Mall, both in the city centre. Go to Central or Queen Street Stations for either the Millenium Stadium or shops and theatres.
Penarth itself has attractive gardens which are full of colourful species of flora suited to the sea. Each summer, the parks and roundabouts in Penarth are planted with thousands of colourful plants, hence the name The Garden by the Sea
Opened in 1894, Penarth pier was damaged in 1947 when a former U.S. Liberty Ship hit the pier broadside on. Repaired shortly afterwards, the Pier is now in splendid shape; and admission is free.

FROM LONDON BY ROAD Take M4 into South Wales and exit at Junction 33 (Cardiff West). Follow A4232 until signs for PENARTH, and follow signposts into Penarth Town Centre. At roundabout with clock tower, take Windsor Terrace, Church Road, Bradford Place and then Kymin Terrace to destination.
FROM CARDIFF AIRPORT Driving from Cardiff International Airport: Take road signed Cardiff, then in 2 miles take a right at roundabout to Sully and continue on to Penarth on the A4231/Barry Docks Link Rd., then SULLY, then PENARTH. In Town Centre enquire for roundabout with clock tower, take Windsor Terrace, then 1st left, Church Road, then first right Bradford Place, then 2nd right for Kymin Terrace.
From LONDON:-
The easiest way of getting to Brecon Lodge. Take the train at London Paddington Station for Cardiff, (runs every hour daytime), and in 2 hours 10 minutes arrive at Cardiff Central. Change platforms to Platform 7 and take a local train for Penarth (run every 15 minutes). At Penarth Town Station alight and walk for just 7 minutes to Brecon Lodge, Kymin Terrace, past the Library and tennis courts. Taxis available at both Stations.
By bus Take an inexpensive coach from London Victoria direct to Cardiff, Wales, in around 3-4 hours. Leave at Cardiff Bus Station, and take a Cardiff Bus Service 92, 93 or 94 from nearby to Penarth Town Centre (15 minutes ride), alight, then walk for 6 minutes direct to Brecon Lodge B&B. You may also take a Megabus on the same route from London, but this needs to be pre-booked online.
