Bed and Breakfast Description

 

The farmhouse itself is set in forty acres including paddocks and pleasant south facing gardens.

Three en-suite rooms, two in the main farmhouse and one 1st floor suite in what we call "the Cottage", next to the main farmhouse.

Our self-catering annexe Flat comprising own separate stair access, sitting room with colour TV with digital freeview channels, kitchen, double bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Also available for self-catering holidays.

Spacious double bedroom with colour TV with digital freeview channels and tea/coffee making facilities, en-suite bathroom with large air bath. (can be converted to family room.) Full Central Heating. Children are welcome, cots available.

Free broadband internet access available in all rooms.

 

Canterbury Attractions

 
Our location is ideal for exploring some of Kent's prettiest villages, many historic buildings, places of interest, traditional seaside towns and beaches and of course the many tourist attractions the area has to offer.

There are also a wide range of local amenities close by, including many Kentish pubs, restaurants, sports facilities and golf courses.

We are an excellent base for walkers and cyclists, being near the North Downs way and close to many signed walking and cycling routes, with secure storage of bicycles overnight.

There are several riding centres, which make good use of the many local bridle tracks, some specialise in children's riding holidays and fundays, so you can leave the children happily riding and stay with us.

Spectator sports enthusiasts are well catered for with county cricket at Canterbury, horse racing at Folkestone Racecourse and motor racing at Lydden and Brands Hatch.

Birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts are well served with Reserves at Dungeness, Sandwich and Stodmarsh being the best-known sites.

There are numerous excellent places to visit nearby - especially Howletts and Port Lympne Zoos; English Heritage sites including Dover Castle and Walmer Castle; Canterbury Cathedral; Leeds Castle; The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Narrow Gauge Steam Railway and numerous National Trust properties including Sissinghurst Gardens; Scotney Castle gardens and Ightam Mote. Enjoy the lovely scenic routes and explore the historic Cinque Ports of Sandwich, Rye and Faversham.
