Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Rhyd-y-Bryn is positioned within 2 acre's of tranquil gardens at the top of a hill it is a place where you can truly relax and unwind. The ever changing views across the rolling countryside towards Moel Fammau in the Clwydian range are outstanding . Here you will find all you need to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and memorable at any time of year.

The cottage is decorated in the country style and the south wing comprises your ensuite bedroom, garden room and patio area. Although your bedroom is decorated in the old style with it’s Victorian bed and latch doors it has all the modern conveniences, including tea and coffee, free view TV and trouser press. Here you can wake to the view of Moel Fammau in the distance to the west while the sun streams across the cottage gardens and through the circular window from the south.

In the garden room or on warm summer mornings on the patio you can continue to admire the vista whilst you take breakfast. Your comprehensive traditional Celtic breakfast is complimented by a range of cold meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, yoghurts and pastries. Home made scones, cake and bread is also available. For those who are on the move and at a reasonable cost you can pack up a lunch from our extensive breakfast menu.

 

Mold Attractions

 
From Rhyd-y-Bryn why not leave your car and gain access to the many woodland walks directly from the gardens. This part of Wales has excellent walks to suit all abilities from a ramble to the famous Loggerheads country park to the more exertive climb to the top of Moel Fammau. There are many good local hostelries offering good beers, wines and food including the old Miners Arms in the village.

Further afield the Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible with its mountains and rivers.

The local market town of Mold is 3 miles and the old walled city of Chester is 14 miles.
