Bed and Breakfast Description
 

Guests are assured of a warm and friendly welcome to Muirfield Green guest cottage. An 'A' listed historic house built in 1890, it is very peacefully situated in Gullane, within feet of Muirfield golf course.

Accommodation: two superior and very comfortable twin rooms ensuite set among sunny, secluded courtyard gardens. Comfy beds, toiletries, large towels and underfloor heating. Private sitting area and tea/coffee facilities. Guest bed available.

Separate keypad entrance for extra privacy and independence. Flexible arrival and breakfast geared around tee-times. Private off road parking for two cars. Children welcome (guest bed available).

Range of excellent pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We are happy to assist with reservations.

Gullane Attractions
 
Gullane is a small and friendly sea side village in the heart of East Lothian, otherwise known as Scotland's "golf coast". Golf is the main attraction but the area also boasts superb sandy bays and coastal walks with abundant wildlife.

The well-signed 'John Muir' coastal path walks takes in old villages, harbours and the countryside. Take a boat out to the Bass Rock, a well known seabird colony or climb the 700ft Law hill and enjoy the panaromic views. Visit the pretty and historic towns of North Berwick and Haddington. Visit the bird sanctuary at Aberlady.

We are an easy 20 minute train journey to Edinburgh with its beautiful architecture, charming cobbled streets and excellent shops and restaurants.
 

B&B Location
 
From Edinburgh, take the Al east, exiting at Bankton junction to A6137. Follow A198 coastal route marked North Berwick for 10 miles - when in Gullance, continue to end of village and take last road on left. Go over three speed bumps and we are the last low white cottage with red roof at the top on left.

From Berwick upon Tweed, take the Al coming off after 29 miles on 30 on the A198 at Tyninghame. Stay on A198 following signs for North Berwick - 4 miles beyond North Berwick enter village of Gullane, taking first road to the right at 30 mph sign. Up over three speed bumps, we are the low white cottage with red roof at the top on the left.
