Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Bron Afon is a three storey house built circa 1840. It is tastefully decorated and maintained throughout.

All bedrooms are spacious and airy and all have en-suite facilities. The rooms offer comfortable furniture, colour remote T.Vs and tea & coffee hospitality trays. Two of the rooms offer views overlooking the well maintained gardens to the estuary and mountains beyond. Above all, the atmosphere is peaceful.

 

Porthmadog Attractions

 
Borth y Gest is a picturesque harbour village situated on the banks of the Glaslyn Estuary. At the turn of the century, Borth y Gest was an important ship building harbour with a sawmill and four ship yards building wooden oak vessels for transporting slate to all parts of the world.

There are some amazing walks along the cliff edge and through the woodland to the rear of the village all with breathtaking views of the mountains, sea and sand.

To the left the Cnicht and Moelwyn Ranges of Snowdonia and the Ffestiniog Railway, immediately facing Bron Afon are the Meirionydd and Rhinog mountain ranges, to the right a fantastic view of Harlech and its Castle standing on a mound below the town.
