Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Penyclawdd Farm is a mixed farm with the main emphasis being on the rearing of Beef and Sheep.

Guests have always enjoyed the chance to see and feed the animals in the company of the owners Ann and John Davies, who have been running the B&B for the last 25 years. The farm has been run by the Davies family for nearly a 100 years and provides excellent walks for both guests and their pets that can be housed in the lockable garage, that can also be used by cyclists for security.

All rooms are equipped with TVs, washbasins and shaving facilities. Penyclawdd Farm has two en-suite rooms, and one room with a shared bathroom. The rooms have excellent views of the Skirrid, Bryn Arrow and Blorenge Mountains. The rooms are ideal for both family and couple holidays and are excellently decorated to provide an excellent base for your stay in Wales.

 

Abergavenny Attractions

 
Over the years the farm has welcomed visitors from all walks of life that have visited the area to enjoy activities such as: - walking, cycling, hand gliding, fishing, the millennium stadium, horse riding, canoeing, the markets, Hay on Wye Festival and Abergavenny Food Festival to name but a few. The farmhouse is located within close proximately of the Skirrid Mountain Inn – Wales Oldest Inn, The Walnut Tree Inn, and within easy access of local towns such as Crickhowell, Pontypool, Usk, Chepstow and Monmouth. The area also has an excellent cycle route – Cycle Route Sustran 42. Penyclawdd Farm has a lockable double garage to house motorbikes and bicycles.
 

B&B Location
 
Once you have arrived at Abergavenny’s main roundabout take the Hereford exit (A465) and travel along this road for approx 6 miles and take the turning for Pantygelli (This turning is the second turning after leaving the roundabout.). Follow this road for approx ¼ mile until you arrive at a cluster of houses and bungalows. Drive past the sign for Cwmyoy and Llanthony on your right. Within 100 yards you will see the sign for Pen-y-clawdd Farm. The Bed and Breakfast is the 4th dwelling on the right hand side.
