Acorns' comfortable accommodation is: 3 double bedrooms, one of which is ensuite, and another is a twin bedroom. The views from the bedrooms overlook the beauty and tranquillity of the Welsh countryside.

Good local produce is used for the full Welsh breakfast, including free range eggs and, when in season, field mushrooms:


Brecon Attractions

The Acorns is an ideal base from which to enjoy both active, or more relaxing pursuits. For the visitor wanting an active holiday, the local pursuits on offer include: walking - Offa's Dyke Path passes through Hay-on-Wye, cycling, pony trekking, canoeing, climbing, caving, abseiling, gorge scrambling, archery, clay pigeon shooting and gliding.

For the visitor wanting a more relaxing break, there is the beauty of the Wye Valley to explore, and Hay Bluff and Llanthony Abbey are only a short distance from Acorns. 5 miles away is Hay-on-Wye, where there is an annual Literary Festival, and many bookshops to explore. Approximately 10 miles away is the the Cathedral town of Brecon, which has a theatre and an annual Jazz Festival.

Acorns is only 5 miles from Hay-on-Wye and approximately 10 miles from Brecon.
It can be approached from Hay-on-Wye, via the minor road though Llanigon. Or take the B4350 to Glasbury-on-Wye - past the Garage on the right and turn left at the Church and follow the road to Felindre.
Coming from Brecon take the A438 to Glasbury-on-Wye and turn right at the Church.
If approaching via the A479 through Talgarth, take the A4078 (Three Cocks road) out of Talgarth for about ¾ of a mile and turn right, proceed for approximately 1¾ miles.
