Catherine and William Lockwood welcome you to their home where we offer guests the choice of 3 pretty,comfortable rooms all with colour TV/DVD/video, free Wi-Fi, clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and little extras touches such as fresh flowers and fruit. We have one double room upstairs with own private bathroom. and a twin and double room on the ground floor. The downstairs rooms share one private bathroom and are only booked one at a time unless it is to people travelling together. Both rooms have their own wash hand basin and there is a second WC/cloakroom. A third bed can be added to any room. Guests have full use of the conservatory which is also where breakfast is served. We aim to use local and Fair Trade produce where possible. We try to help the environment by recycling as much as we can, using energy saving light bulbs and environmentally friendly household products.
We have an enclosed garden where guests can sit out on sunny days and enjoy the lovely views. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed and we are also able to provide stabling. We have plenty of off-road parking if you are travelling with a caravan, boat, horsebox or similar and can provide lockable cover for bicycles.
We are happy to recommend and book good local pubs, a few of which allow dogs in, whilst Salisbury (a 20 minute drive) offers a full range of restaurants and coffee bars.
We speak reasonable French and Italian and my husband also speaks German.

This area of Wiltshire is very beautiful and with so much to do and see it is well worth staying a few days. Stonehenge, Old Sarum, the cathedral city of Salisbury, Longleat House and Safari Park, Wilton House, Stourhead Gardens, Old Wardour Castle, The Hawk Conservancy, Cholderton Rare Breeds Park are just a few of the nearby attractions whilst The New Forest, Winchester, Southampton Bournemouth and the sea are all within an hour's drive or train journey. For a full day out visit Monkey World and The Tank Museum at Bovington; Wookey Holes and Cheddar Gorge; Wells and Glastonbury or in the summer take a trip to the sea at Lulworth, Lymington or Poole.
You could visit the White Horses of Wiltshire carved into the chalk hillsides, or if you enjoy walking we can provide books on circular walks of varying lengths. There are golf courses and fishing lakes, and for raing days leisure centres, pottery painting, shopping and much more. |

From A303 East (London) go through village of Winterbourne Stoke, past turning on left to Berwick St James (B3083)and our entrance is on right of road, immediately AFTER Scotland Lodge (Guesthouse on the road) and just before de-restriction sign. Entry is through an automatic gate with a button to press from the car. Red and white cones mark the entrance from A303.
From A303 west our turning is just before the village of Winterbourne Stoke Go past a large lay-by and speed camera enforcement sign and turn in to the left immediately after 40mph Winterbourne Stoke sign and entry is through automatic gate. The gate opens by pressing button on the post(from the car. Re and white cones mark the entrance farom A303.
Once inside the property drive straight ahead following B & B signs round to the right and park on the gravel by the conservatory.
