Bed and Breakfast Description

Halwyn is an old Cornish farmstead, with the farmhouse believed to be around 250 years old, situated in a quiet and secluded valley on the Lizard Peninsula, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We have 3 cosy and comfortable holiday homes and Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available in the farmhouse, which is also our home. Here you will find peace and tranquillity second to none, passing traffic is a rarity, with only the sounds of nature to break the silence. The grounds at Halwyn extend to some 2 acres and include a stream, a small lake and beautiful lawned areas as well as many unusual and beautiful sub-tropical plants which grow well here with the benefit of the Gulf Stream.

The weather in this part of Cornwall is milder than the rest of the country, so a holiday in spring, autumn or even winter can be a very pleasant experience. We are happy to arrange short breaks during Low and Mid seasons - please ask for details.

Bed and Breakfast is available in the farmhouse. We have one double bedroom and one family room on the first floor, both with en-suite bathrooms. On the ground floor we have an en suite family unit with a double bed and bunk beds. There is also a small sitting area off the bedroom. The en suite is fitted with a shower cubicle with an electric shower, washbasin and WC. A door from the sitting area gives direct access to an area of our garden.

All rooms have a mini fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and colour television/video. You will be offered a choice of breakfast including, of course, the full English option. A picnic lunch can be provided, for a small charge, should you wish, just let us know the night before. All food is home prepared and we use local (and organic) produce wherever possible.
