Bed and Breakfast Description
Kerri-Lee is a modern bungalow set in extensive mature gardens which you are free to wander in and enjoy. We are conveniently situated for both the business and leisure visitor. Kerri-Lee is run by Anne and Andrew McIlroy. It is our home and we want everyone who visits us to treat it as if it was also their home and to feel at home. We want to make your stay at Kerri-Lee and in the area both enjoyable and memorable. NITB Approved



Local Attractions
Kerri-Lee is the closest Bed & Breakfast establishment to scenic and historic Hillsborough village with its night life, award wining pubs and restaurants, castle, fort and gardens. At 1 1/2 miles from the village it is a safe and gentle walk when weather conditions are favourable. A small and delightful village, Hillsborough lies south of Lisburn and 15 miles from Belfast on the main Belfast to Dublin road It is an almost unspoilt 18th and 19 century village. The first settlement in the area was called Cromlyn which, in Irish, means "the crooked glen". The village received its Charter of Incorporation in 1661, but was in fact laid out in the first half of the 18th century. Hillsborough has a large number of Georgian buildings. Nearby Lisburn City, has a 14 Screen Omniplex, excellent leisure facilities, the internationally acclaimed Irish Linen Centre and Museum plus good restaurants and many more attractions. A short distance away is Moira village, another floral award winning attraction.

B&B Location

From the International Airport or from the North or from Larne:

From the airport follow the signs for Belfast via the M2 motorway. From Larne follow the road into Belfast until you meet up with the M2 motorway. Follow the M2 into Belfast. Check the overhead Gantry signs for the 'Westlink'/M1 Motorway/Dublin/Newry and get into the correct lane (2nd from left). Travel along the Westlink which will eventually merge into the M1 motorway. Follow this until you reach junction 8 (11miles); for Hillsborough/Newry/Dublin at which time you should leave the motorway. Still following those signs, join the A1 dual carriageway and follow it for two miles until you reach the Hillsborough roundabout at the top of the hill. Use the left filter lane just before the roundabout and continue a short distance until you enter Hillsborough village. From this point follow the route as from Hillsborough village.

Alternatively instead of turning into Hillsborough you may continue on the A1 towards Newry/Dublin for approx 3 miles until you see a filling station on the left hand side of the road. Move over and signal in good time that you are turning right. The road into which you will turn is the Taughblane Road. We are the first house on the Taughblane Road.
