Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
We at the Hawthorne Dene extend a warm welcome to our family-owned and run falmouth hotel. Once inside you can experience the elegance, charm and comfort of a bygone era. Full of interesting antiques, with old photographs and pictures adorning the walls. There is a fine library full of many books and daily newspapers and magazines for you to peruse if you wish, and a glorious open log fire by which to enjoy and relax in the ambience of this lovely old house.
Each of the bedrooms is furnished to a very high standard with fine comfortable beds and are full of individual character and detail. All the rooms are fully ensuite with power showers, heated towel rails, towels and a range of luxury toiletries.
Most rooms have fantastic sea views overlooking Falmouth's magnificent bay, with views od Pendennis castle, St Anthony's Lighthouse and a panorama that stretches from the Roseland to the Lizard.
All rooms have a colour Flat Screen TV, hairdryer and hospitality tray with tea/coffee, Freseh filtered water and biscuits. Wi Fi throughout and iron and ironing boards are available on request. All rooms are centrally heated using individually controlled radiators to ensure your maximum comfort during your stay with us.
The hotel also has off-road parking to both the front and rear of the property.
We pride ourselves on our original menus using only the finest of fresh produce, free range and organic wherever possible. There is a choice of daily Table d'hôte and à la carte menus inspired by both traditional English and continental cuisine and we cater for a wide variety of tastes and needs. |

It is also famous for being the start or finish point of various round-the-world record-breaking voyages, such as those of Sir Francis Chichester and Dame Ellen MacArthur.
There are five main beaches starting next to Pendennis Castle and moving along the coast towards the Helford river are Castle, Tunnel, Gyllyngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth beach.
We have provided just some of the local attractions which may be of interest on your visit to Cornwall. Of course, we are always happy to offer further advice and help during your stay. Just ask!
