Netherby House Edinburgh is an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful City, we’re a friendly B&B on a direct bus route to all Major City attractions, only 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre, 2 from Edinburgh airport and 1 from Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, Netherby is conveniently situated within the select Edinburgh district of Corstorphine, giving easy access to the A720 (city bypass), Forth Bridges and all major motorways. We offer a traditional Scottish breakfast and all rooms are en suite with free Wi-Fi internet access. We have a secure private car park for guests use only, and a separate guest’s entrance so you can feel free to come and go as you please

The Palace of Holyrood House:-
The Palace of Holyrood House marks the end of the famous Royal Mile in Edinburgh city centre. This former medieval monastery is the Queen's official Scottish residence. The residence currently houses the Queen's Gallery, which is a fine collection of 17th century Dutch paintings and artwork.

Edinburgh Castle:-
Edinburgh's most famous landmark, Edinburgh Castle is an eclectic mix of architectural styles - a testament to its long and colourful history. The 12th century St Margaret's Chapel makes up the oldest part of the building, with many additions having been made over the centuries. As well as the fine architecture, Edinburgh Castle offers spectacular views from its hilltop position, and is also home to the National War Museum of Scotland and the Scottish crown jewels.

Scottish National Portrait Gallery:-
The Scottish National Portrait Gallery is home to an extensive collection of portraits of Scots, as well as the Scottish National Photography Collection. It is housed in an impressive neo-gothic building which is worth a visit for the architecture alone.

Edinburgh Zoo:-
Home to over 1000 animals, Edinburgh Zoo makes for an informative and fun family day out. The zoo is situated just ten minutes from the city centre, and is a charity keen to promote animal welfare and conservation also, making it a worthwhile cause to contribute to by visiting.

Take the exit toward Bridge/A90/Glasgow/M8/Stirling/M9/A720:
At Old Craighill Jct, take the 1st exit onto A720
Go through 1 roundabout
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A8 ramp to Edinburgh West & N/Leith
Merge onto A8/Glasgow Rd
Follow the road for 0.8 miles and we are on the right just before PC World.

From the M8
Head east on M8
At Hermiston Jct, take the 1st exit onto the A720 ramp
Merge onto A720
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A8 ramp to Edinburgh West & N/Leith
Merge onto A8/Glasgow Rd
Follow the road for 0.8 miles and we are on the right just before PC World.

From the Forth Road Bridge (A90)
From the Forth Road Bridge head south on A90
Continue on the A90 through Barnton Junction
Turn right at B701/Drum Brae N
At Drumbrae Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A8/Glasgow Rd (PC World)
We are apx 200 meters on the left.

If arriving by air

Only 6 minutes away!

There is a frequent express shuttle bus service that leaves from the the arrival gate every 10 minutes and stops just meters away fom our house.

Shuttle bus number 100 Single ticket £3.
Once the shuttle departs the airport take the third stop (Drum Brae Corstorphine) airlink interchange, cross the road towards PC World and we are apx 200 meters on the left.
