Wye Knot Stop is a 300 year old property with oak beams and full of character, situated in the village of Llyswen, which lies between Brecon, the gateway to the Beacons, Hay on Wye, the town of books, and Builth Wells, the home of the Royal Welsh Show. Cardiff airport is just over an hours drive and the London airports are approximately 3 hours drive along the M4 motorway.
The Elan Valley has fantastic scenery with tranquil reservoirs, with the Red Kite Feeding Centre just a few miles away. The Pembrokeshire Coast is a 2 hour drive with many Blue Flag sandy beaches.
We are also a tea room serving homemade cakes, great Italian coffee, home cooked food, desserts and local ice cream. During the winter months you can sit on the sofa by the woodburner or in the Summer you can sit on the sun terrace, overlooking the village green and the Black Mountains.
We are fully licenced and offer our guests a variety of wines, beers and ciders.
Our rooms are both en-suite, one shower and one bathroom which have been recently re-decorated for this season. One room is downstairs and has a double and a single bed, this has been adapted for disabled people and has easy access from the car park. The upstairs room also has a double and a single bed and a pull out bed for a family of four. All rooms consist of a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary mineral water, toiletries, and hairdryer. If required, we can provide a cot, iron and ironing board.
Breakfast is served in the tearoom and consists of fruit juices, local yoghurts, jams and honey and the full cooked breakfast is all sourced locally. Vegetarian and Continental breakfast can be catered for on request.
