Home Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, has a long history with the original house being built in the 16th century with bits added to it in the next century.
The farmhouse probably first started as two 'one-up, one-down' yeoman's cottages but in 1637 it was developed into a three storey farmhouse.
It now provides luxury accommodation for guests who can enjoy the original features that are unique to a house of this age; exposed beams, inglenook fireplaces and winding staircases.
Our luxury rooms are furnished mainly with family antiques but also with furniture picked up on the family's many stays and trips around the world. Rooms are unusual and full of character, old and distinctive.

B&B Location
|
Home Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast is located in Charlton, just east of the M40 between Junctions 10 and 11. It is an old village mentioned in the Domesday Book (1067), a modern copy of which you can look at in the house. The village has a shop, a post office and a good pub only 100 yards (metres) from the house.
For the sake of simplicity, the directions given are from the M40, travelling either north or south. If these directions do not fit in with your travel plans, please contact us and we will give you specific travel instructions.
From the South - Leave the M40 at Junction 10 and turn right onto the A43, going towards Northampton. After exactly 5 miles (8km), you will come to a roundabout with a sign pointing to the left to 'Kings Sutton, Charlton, Hinton-in-the-Hedges'. Turn left.
Follow that road for just over 3 miles (5km) until you enter the village of Charlton at a T-junction. Turn left. Drive straight down the village street until you pass the pub, the Rose and Crown, on the right hand side. 100 yards (metres) past the pub, turn left into a gravelled lane. Our courtyard is immediately on the left.
From the North - Leave the M40 at Junction 11 and turn left onto the A422, heading towards Brackley and Buckingham. After about 4.5 miles (7km), you will go up a long hill. As you approach the village of Farthinghoe, you will see a sign pointing to the right to Charlton. Turn right into a narrow lane. Follow that lane for 800 yards (metres) until you come to a T junction without a signpost. Turn right and follow the road for 2 miles (3km) to the village of Charlton. Drive straight down the village street until you pass the pub, the Rose and Crown, on the right hand side. 100 yards (metres) past the pub, turn left into a gravelled lane. Our courtyard is immediately on the left.
