Bed and Breakfast Description
|
|
At Jenny's Guest House you are invited to indulge in one of our seven guest rooms, all of varying sizes to suit your needs.
We are within 7 minutes walk of Abergavenny town centre, we offer secure off-road parking, a varied breakfast menu catering for all tastes, and we even have our own mini-zoo complete with chickens, pigs and rabbits! All food served at the Guest House sourced within Wales and gernerally within 5 miles of the Guest House.
In the summer, why not enjoy our BBQ and sunbathing area. Or, if you want to venture out then ask Jenny to prepare a wonderful packed lunch for your trip.
Pets? No problem, as long as they get along with our resident animals!
As yet we do not take cards, we simply refuse to line the pockets of the banks any more and their charges for a small business such as ourselves are beyond a joke. We are more than happy with cheques (unlike so many other businesses these days) and obviously we love the sight of cash! |

Local Attractions
|
Abergavenny lies nestled at the foot of many beautiful mountains and is consequently cocooned and sheltered by some of the most awe inspiring mountains in Wales, including the "Sugar Loaf", the "Blorenge" and the "Skirrid".
This gives the walker, biker or cyclist the opportunity to explore and view the breathtaking scenery. The resident population of Abergavenny is approximately 11,000 but this number swells in the summer season and the local community `swells' to meet the challenge.
The welcome offered is genuine and the efforts made by all concerned to provide entertainment, fun, food and hospitality is beyond the call of duty! The now famous food festival, steam rallies, jazz, musical and pop festivals in the park, and the Castle grounds, serve to prove this point.
Abergavenny is ringed by historic castles, Abbeys, Churches and Market Towns, which are steeped in both industrial and agricultural heritage. Abergavenny is best known for our very special market, which is open most days of the week for Flea Markets, Craft and Farmers Market and our Tuesday, Friday and Saturday "market" Markets.
The eating experiences are legendary, ranging from a `licensed' Chip Shop to a 4 star hotel, with all tastes and variety catered for. Other activities, including fishing, canal boating, golf, pony trekking, climbing and bird watching abound within the area.
