All accommodation has en suite facilities. This includes toilet, bath and/or shower, remote control colour T.V., tea and coffee making equipment, hair dryer. Some rooms have a trouser press.
5 en suite rooms in the main building. 6 en suite rooms in the annex overlooking walled garden, full central heating. Disabled access - three ground floor rooms & toilet facilities (in the annex). Honeymoon suite with a four poster. Family rooms which are capable of being linked together to provide a larger suite. A cot is available. Small function room. Children's play area. Small pool room. Extensive heating in the winter (which makes this just the place for a cosy off season break). Fully licensed with a lounge bar - including local real ales which carry the Cask Marque quality badge. Non-smoking restaurant upstairs. Beer garden. Wheelchair friendly. Pets welcome (for a small charge) but must have own bedding. Friendly, good humoured, staff. Open all year.
MENU The food at the Wellington is renowned for its quality and excellence - local produce is used throughout. The bar food is excellent - prize winning ploughmans lunches. A full English breakfast is included with every booking. There is a children's menu which is frequently the choice of people with small appetites. A hot and cold menu is available at lunchtime and evenings with local fresh crab and fish (seasonal), quality steaks, local Cornish pasties, country ham and daily home cooked specials. There's even fried egg and chips on the menu! The choice of good home cooked dishes is varied daily. Vegetarian diets are catered for - there's always a choice. |

St Just, the most westerly town in mainland Britain, is a historic mining town and the Wellington is at the very centre, overlooking Market Square, close to the 16th century parish church. Situated on the scenic coastal road from Land's End to St Ives, the Wellington is an ideal base to visit the finest cliffs and beaches in Cornwall.
St. Just has all amenities: A small supermarket, a grocery store, a green grocer, bakers, butchers, hairdressers, cafés, chinese/Indian takeaways, pubs, a hardware store, craft shops and art galleries, a pottery, a library and a doctor's surgery. The nearby parish church holds all usual Anglican services. A Roman Catholic mass is held there on Saturday evenings. Also within sight is the Methodist chapel, claimed to be one of the most impressive in Cornwall.
St Just scenic coastal walks. Visitors are welcome at the eighteen hole golf club at Cape Cornwall, 1¼ miles away, which also has a swimming pool and gymnasium. The nearest beach, Whitesands Bay, only four and a half miles away at Sennen Cove, has been awarded the coveted European 'Blue Flag' for high standards of cleanliness, and is ideal for swimming and all water sports. There are also beaches at Porthcurno, St. Ives and Carbis Bay. Geevor Mining Museum, the heart of Industrial Heritage, at nearby Pendeen. Levant Tin Mine, home to Cornwall's oldest working beam engine. The world famous cliff top Minack open air theatre. Newlyn for the fishing fleet. Land's End (the most westerly point in England). Penzance, Mousehole, Zennor, Porthleven and The Lizard (the most southerly). Flambards theme park at Helston. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. The New Tate Gallery in St. Ives. Land's End Airport offers coastal flights and a regular service to the Isles of Scilly, which is thirty miles off Cape Cornwall. The Isles of Scilly may also be reached by day trips from the Penzance heliport or on the mail steamer, 'Scillonian III'. |
