Bed and Breakfast Description

The Old Post Office offers Twin and Double and family rooms all which have an en-suite.

The rooms are set in the garden on the house and each has it's own separate entrance, there is plenty of parking and all of the rooms have tea and coffee making and Televisions. Every room has it's own outside seating are too.

Each room has recently been refurbished to a High Standard and offer comfort, cleanliness and quality.

Breakfast is taken in the conservatory of the main house, we offer a full English and lighter style breakfast.

The Old Post Office is regularly inspected by the English Tourist Board who have rated it a 3 Diamonds establishment.

We speak English and German but will try our best if you have difficulty with these.

Evening meals can be taken at the local inn which is just 2 minutes walk, the food is good and the portions are generous, The Inn is old fashioned the staff are friendly.

Barbara and Nigel Hands are happy to help you and advise if they think the Old Post Office is the right location for you, if we have no rooms available we will endeavor to give you information, names and contact numbers of other accommodation providers in the area.

You'll find us friendly and helpful but because the rooms are separate from the house you have your own privacy, parking is at the rear of the property and close to the entrance to the rooms.

If you are working in the area you may find this accommodation just right for you, with early breakfast or a packed lunch and just 20 mins from Banbury and 15mins to Bicester.

There is plenty of things around the area to see and do, below is just a few.

Oxford, with it's history and colleges.
Bicester outlet village with it's designer outlet store, ideal for picking up a bargain.

Silverstone circuit, for grand prix racing, and a chance to drive the world famous track for yourself.

Blenhiem Place home of Sir Winston Churchill's family and one of the UK's grandest houses and gardens.

The Cotswold's with their beautiful villages and towns, part of ideal rural England.

Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare birth place.

Situated In Ardley, near Bicester in North Oxfordshire, just 2 minutes from junction 10 of the M40.

We are in a village location but with easy access to London, Birmingham, Oxford, Silverstone and the towns of Bicester and Banbury.

The Old Post Office is just one hour from London Heathrow and Birmingham International airports by car.
London Luton is 1hour 15mins and London Stansted and London Gatwick just one hour 45 minutes.
Which makes us the Ideal first and last stop if you are touring the UK by car.

Visiting London is easier by train from Bicester which takes just 55 minutes right into the centre, where there are bus and tube connections all over the city. This can prove a cheap and easy option for visiting the Capital.

Directions:

From M40 J.10, take the B430 into Ardley from the motorway junction, then take the 3rd turn on the right, we are 50 metres on the left hand side. Look for the English Tourist Board 3 Diamond sign.

From the A34 traveling north: Take the B430 Signed Weston on the Green, travel on the B430 through the village and then through the village of Middleton Stoney ( this is a straight road through to Ardley) As you just enter the village it's the first turn on the left Sign for Somerton and The Old Post Office is 50 metres on the left side. Look for the English Tourist Board 3 Diamond sign.
