A Four Star Silver Bed and Breakfast with an award for our food, specialising in vegetarian cuisine but NOT exclusively so. Just three miles from the market town of Oswestry and alongside the Montgomery Canal, we have a rural setting of almost seven acres in the peaceful countryside of North Shropshire.
White House offers superb accommodation and restaurant quality cuisine from breakfast to evening meals. Overall our accommodation has been given a Four Star Silver Award rating by “enjoyEngland” and our breakfasts have won a Breakfast Award from the same organization.
Our three rooms are all en-suite with LCD TV’s + Freeview+DVD players, radio alarm clocks + iPod connections, free broadband, tea and coffee facilities and a hair-dryer. The Master room has Sky TV and bathrobes.
Enjoy a complementary afternoon tea or coffee, in the courtyard, the resident’s lounge or your room.
Wander the grounds, take a stroll along the Montgomery Canal tow-path via our private bridge or simply relax with a good book, magazine or local guide book. Then settle down to an evening meal from one of our extensive a al carte menus, copies of which are available as down-loads on our main web-site.
After a quiet and relaxing night’s sleep enjoy a breakfast from our extensive menu before setting off for your day exploring the area, working or moving on to your next destination.

Due to the nature of the property with chicken ranging free and sheep and lambs in the fields, pets cannot be accommodated – sorry. Guide Dogs welcome.

From the North along the A5/A483 ( from Chester / Wrexham )
Travel south on the combined A5/A483 until you reach Mile End Roundabout, this has a
Tourist Information and Esso Garage at the second exit.
Take the Third exit for A483 ( Welshpool / Mid Wales ).
Take the second left towards Maesbury
After 2 miles you will reach Maesbury Marsh. Look for the Navigation Inn and Canal Bridge.
White House is situated directly after the canal bridge on your left.
From the South along the A483 ( From Welshpool )
Continue past the first Oswestry turning, signposted Morda.
Take the next right turn towards Maesbury, signposted Maesbury and Knockin
After 2 miles you will reach Maesbury Marsh. Look for the Navigation Inn and Canal Bridge.
White House is situated directly after the canal bridge on your left.
From the South along the A5 ( Shrewsbury, M54, M6 )
At the Nesscliffe roundabout continue straight on onto a dual carriageway
At the next roundabout take a left towards Knockin.
Continue through Knockin, after the village you will see a sign saying Osbaston
Take the next Right towards Maesbury & Oswestry.
Follow the road through Woolston Bank, at which point it turns sharp left down the hill
Enter Maesbury Marsh, on approaching the Canal Bridge look for White House on the right just before the canal bridge

White House has direct access to the Tow path of the Montgomery Canal in Maesbury Marsh
Railway
The nearest railway station is at Gobowen about 4 miles (5 km) to the North. It is situated on the Shrewsbury to Chester Line, and all services are operated by Arriva Trains Wales.
Bus
The Arriva 576 service stops in Maesbury Marsh.
