Local Attractions

Armagh Planetarium
After collecting your tickets, your first stop must be the superb Hall of Astronomy, where interactive technology developed here in Armagh enables you to see the very latest pictures from NASA's space telescope, or to look back through time at the echo of the big bang, a massive super explosion which created the universe fifteen thousand million years ago.

St. Patrick's Trian
The St. Patrick exhibition 'the least of all the faithful', takes its title from Saint Patrick's Confession. The exhibition examines the life and work of our patron Saint and his connections with Armagh as found in the ancient manuscript - the 'Book of Armagh'.
The Land of Lilliput Jonathan Swift, author and clergyman spent time in the district, and his most famous work 'Gullivers Travels' is encapsulated in the fantasy 'Land of Lilliput' where the adventures of Gulliver are narrated with the help of a 20 foot giant!

Palace Stables
Welcome to the Palace Stables Heritage Centre, where Georgian history is brought to life by a host of fascinating characters from the 18th century, who offer a unique and entertaining glimpse of life in Armagh, in the 1770s.

Navan Fort
Just to the west of the City of Armagh lies Navan. Once known as Emain Macha, ancient seat of kings and the earliest capital of Ulster, Navan is today a system of impressive earthworks, settlement sites and sacred places.
