Middle Fell is a stylish detached countryside house in Aston Upthorpe village. Superbly situated up a hidden lane on the edge of Aston Stud where you are assured of peace and quite. Close to the river Thames, Wallingford, the Thames Path and the Ridgeway it's ideal for those who like a peaceful, relaxing time away. The village offers excellent food at Michelin star rated The Sweet Olive (The Chequers) within 5 minutes walk.

If you want to explore a wider area, then oxfordshires unspoilt villages are waiting to welcome you with their wide range of pubs, historic churches, buildings and beautiful gardens. No matter where you go the Chiltern area of outstanding natural beauty will enchant you.

Middle Fell has a guests lounge where you can plan your day or rest after a hard days sightseeing.

Middle Fell offers you tastefully appointed family or double rooms in our suite, with a spacious comfortable lounge and private entrance. The Studio room, approached by a spiral staircase, is separate from the house and offers our guests cosy on-suite facilities with delightful views. Each room has tea & coffee making facilities, radio and TV.

A buffet breakfast is included or you may choose a full English breakfast at extra cost.

Train enthusiasts will enjoy a stay here being so close to Didcot where TheGreat Western Railway engines are seen again at the Didcot Railway Centre, where a wonderful Victorian Station has been recreated. The nearest Railway Station is Didcot Parkway. Then take a bus or taxi for approx 4 miles to Aston Upthorpe.
Didcot Parkway is on the main line between London Paddington, Bristol and South Wales, and is served by fast trains about every hour, journey time is about 40 minutes from Paddington.It is a junction with the line to Oxford and Birmingham.
Travellers from the South typically change at Reading.
Travellers from the North may need to change at Oxford.

Directions from Henley on Thames to Middle Fell
From Henley-On-Thames take the A4130 (direction Nettlebed/Wallingford).
On reaching Wallingford turn left at roundabout onto the Wallingford ring road. Right at the next roundabout.
Over the Thames bridge and straight over the next two roundabout which are close together (always following directions for Didcot)
After the railway crossing turn left at the next roundabout towards South Moreton. After about one mile turn right at the “T” junction.
On reaching South Moreton. At the “T” junction turn left and proceeds for a further half mile into the villages of Aston Upthorpe and Aston Tirrold.
After entering the village proceed for about 100 yds until reaching a cream coloured farmhouse Upthorpe Farm and a give way sign on the left.
Opposite Upthorpe Farm enter the gates beside the high “Scolloped” brick wall and proceed about 100yds to Middle Fell, which is at the top of the drive.
