A lovely Georgian home which is set in 3 acres of grounds in a sheltered, wooded area of the lovely LLyn Peninsula, close to Pwllheli, Abersoch and Criccieth.
5 Star bed and breakfast accommodation Pretty rooms with fine linen and garden views Substantial breakfasts: traditional; continental; fresh fruit & yoghourts; home-made jams, marmalade & bread Self-catering cottage with sun-trap garden – sleeps 5/6 Midway between north and south coasts The beautiful light-filled drawing room, with its magnificent fireplace and outlook over the front and rear gardens, is a quiet, relaxing place to be. A log fire in the cooler months adds to the welcome and the family photographs, eclectic collection of original paintings and antique furniture throughout the house provide an interesting and home-from-home atmosphere.
The elegant dining room, with views over the garden and paddocks, catches the morning sun and is the perfect setting for breakfast, which includes compotes and jams made from home-grown fruit, home-made bread, choices of traditional full English or smoked salmon with scrambled eggs or croissants and home-made marmalade. Vegetarian diets are also catered for.
All the ensuite bedrooms are individually styled, overlook the gardens and are comfortably furnished with armchairs, CTV, teatrays, complimentary sherry, magazines, books and tourist information.

Local Attractions

Quiet walks with spectacular scenery lead from the end of the drive. We are midway between the north and south coasts, with sandy beaches and cliff walks within 5 minutes drive time. There are good restaurants and bistros nearby where we are happy make reservations for you. Portmeirion, the castles of Caernarfon, Cricieth, Harlech, Beaumaris and Conway and Bodnant Gardens make great days out, as do journeys on the Snowdonia and Welsh Highland Railways. Llechwedd Slate Mine & Llanberis Electric Mountain are just two of many informative centres worth visiting.
In the immediate locality ten pin bowling, clay pigeon shooting, archery, go-karting, quad- biking, classical horse riding, waterskiing, surfing, sailing, hovercrafting and boat trips can be arranged. The golf courses of Nefyn, Pwllheli, Abersoch, Cricieth, Porthmadog and Harlech are all in easy reach and offer a wide variety of challenges. Out of season, have the beaches and roads to yourselves. The climate is mild and the Lleyn has a micro-climate that is often drier and sunnier than the forecast shows. Pwllheli Marina is only 4 miles away and The Old Rectory has ample parking for boats. Follow the Pilgrims’ Trail past ancient churches; walk up Boduan Mountain to see Iron Age hill forts and gaze across to Ireland, Anglesey, Snowdonia and South and Mid Wales. An ancient peat bog, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is close by, in an area designated of Outstanding Natural Beauty. |
