Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
In the heart of the Welsh Capital, just few minutes from Cardiff city centre you will feel your cares slip away as you enter Ty Rosa B&B. The noise of the bustling city is overtaken by the soothing sound of water flowing over pebbles somehow you know you have arrived somewhere different... and gay! We do welcome everyone.
From the moment you step over the threshold a warm Welsh welcome awaits whether you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or straight, as we are even hetero-friendly.
From stylishly decorated guest rooms to a cosy and comfortable lounge area, Ty Rosa Bed & Breakfast simply oozes style and quality and your every whim is catered for. Should you have any additional requirements to your accommodation, your hosts Paul & Stuart are never far away and always ready to help. Ty Rosa offers you the personal attention that you so often miss in an hotel along with levels of accommodation you expect from a quality hotel.
Ty Rosa (Pink House) offers more than just B&B, an oasis of calm and relaxation, an escape from the hustle and bustle of the exhilarating city yet is only a stone’s throw away from the city centre and Cardiff's gay scene.
In addition to your own bed room, Ty Rosa B&B has a large comfortable lounge area with open plan dining available to use at your leisure. There are also sheltered outdoor facilities for smokers. We strive to make sure your stay with us is complete.
In the evening the cosy lounge is the perfect place to relax with subdued lighting, soft music and fragrant candles whilst you enjoy Welsh hospitality and accommodation. Unlike an hotel, Ty Rosa feels like a home. You can even choose to have a massage during your stay or come for a massage only.
A full gourmet breakfast is included in the room price and evening meals are available on a pre-ordered basis. Any dietary requirements can be catered for, just let us know!

Cardiff Attractions |
| |
Cardiff, the Capital of Wales, is a vibrant city, with its historic buildings, castle, theatres, the world renowned Millennium Stadium and it's night life. The city is often referred to as the party capital of the UK! Whether you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or straight you will find something to float your boat. For shoppers, the Victorian arcades are filled with interesting shops and boutiques whilst the main shopping complexes boast all the usual high street names in larger than average size stores.
Spend an evening in some of Wales's finest restaurants located in the city or in the vibrant Cardiff Bay, then go on to party the night away within the lively bars and clubs of the bubbling gay scene. The Golden Cross, a listed traditional pub was voted the best gay pub in the UK and was the highest rated pub in the "2005 top 100 places in Cardiff to visit."
In the heart of the city you will also find Cardiff Castle and just a short drive from the centre of the capital will take you to the fairytale Castle Coch and the leaning tower at Caerphilly Castle, which boasts a greater angle of lean than the famous 'Leaning Tower' of Pisa.
The breathtaking Brecon Beacons, Welsh borders of the Black Mountains and the picturesque, world renowned book town called Hay on Wye are all within easy travelling distance.
Travelling west, along the coast locally to Penarth and Barry Island or further on to Swansea and the Gower Peninsular you will see some of the worlds most spectacular coastlines. Further west is the the quintessential sea side town of Tenby and historic city of St Davids. If theme parks are your thing, then Oakwood Park is also worth a visit.
Travelling east you will find the city of Newport with Tredegar House, a National Trust property nestled in acres of parkland. Continue further on to the Roman fort town of Caerleon and then on to Tintern Abbey with its famous abbey ruins and beautiful surrounding village. |
