We can offer a choice of double bedded rooms, twin bedded rooms and family rooms, all of which are en-suite.

Our Premier room is of a spacious size with a four-poster bed and sofa and a generous shower room
Two standard double bedded rooms

One single four foot bedded room
Stable Block Ground Floor Annexe
Cromwell – spacious family room comprising one double bed and a set of full size bunk beds, sofa plus table and chairs
Turpin – spacious room comprising twin beds, sofa plus table and chairs
Stable Bungalow – large unit comprising a double bedded room and a twin bedded room with one bathroom and a small kitchen. Ideal as a family room, or friends sharing.

We are ideally placed for a number of excellent golf courses.
Also within reach of The Black Swan is Woodhall Spa, home of the English Golf Union, where previous visitors to The Black Swan have also played the highly challenging courses.
Within 20 minutes of The Black Swan we have two of the biggest attractions for antiques buyers/collectors in the UK.
At nearby Newark and Swinderby, selling Fairs (often in succession giving a total 5 days) are held very regularly throughout the year (Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, Nov, Dec) and are reported as the largest such sales in Britain. Black Swan guests from Japan, Israel, Isle of Man and elsewhere use these fairs as a core part of their business, as do amateur collectors. Even though the keenest buyers claim to snap up the best bargains at 5.00 - 6.00 am., our personally tailored service at The Black Swan ensures all guest are offered breakfast at a time or method to suit.
Besides the many shops and village centres also selling antiques, the Hemswell Antiques Centre brings together 270 shops/dealers in 3 adjoining buildings making this Europe's largest such antiques centre. It is ideal for browsing, purchasing and taking a leisurely snack or meal break. Open 7 days per week and with plenty of off-road car parking. |

Approximately 5 miles south of Gainsborough on A156 at junction with A1500.
From the A1 - turn off at Newark from the south onto A46 (Lincoln), then onto the A1133 and A156 signposted Gainsborough.
Via Bawtry - (southern end of Doncaster by-pass A1M) from the north using A614 and A631 (Gainsborough), then A156 (Lincoln) as far as Marton.
From the M1 -
Travelling South - via junction 31, A57 towards Lincoln from the North, then A1133/156 signposted Gainsborough).
Travelling North - via Junction 21A - A46 round Leicester and via Newark from the south, then A1133/156 signposted Gainsborough.
From the M62 - via M18, M180 and A161 to Gainsborough then A156 south.
From the M18 - as per M62 (above) or via A15 (south) and A1500 west.
From the South West - via M4, Chippenham, Swindon or Cirencester using the Fosse Way (A429 and A46) taking in a small part of the M1 around the Rugby and Leicester area. After Newark use A46, A1133, and A156
