Bed and Breakfast Description

Features include car parking, tv/video & tea/coffee making facilities in each bedroom, views of the sea and stunning Snowdonia mountain ranges from all rooms.

Situated within a few minutes walk of the sea and the high street which has a variety of shops, pubs & tea rooms.

We aim to provide the foundation of an enjoyable holiday with good food and a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

Local Attractions
Monfa is ideally sited for all the attractions of Tywyn, being situated on the direct but quiet approach road to the sea front.

The promenade overlooks the full sweep of Cardigan Bay and generally golden sands offering space for beach games, sunbathing and safe swimming and surfing.

Off the promenade are hard and grass tennis courts, putting green, crown bowling green and children's play area.

Within a few minutes walk are the British rail station and Wharf station of the Talyllyn Railway, the town centre with a range of attractive local shops, a heated indoor swimming pool, and a cinema.

Monfa offers year round holidays and short breaks for active pursuits or relaxing stays. The walking and climbing are far more invigorating in Autumn and Spring, whilst Arctic conditions may be found on Cader Idris during the Winter, offering full scope to the serious climber.

Tywyn is an historic town having grown up around a church founded by St. Cadfan in the sixth century. In Victorian times it was developed as a seaside resort and spa and has remained unspoilt. It is situated on the level plain, surrounded by hills and mountains, including Cader Idris.

Cycles can be hired to explore the local by ways and villages. The nearby village of Aberdovey has a fine links golf course and is a noted boating centre.

The sheltering mountains and the Gulf Stream help us enjoy a very mild climate throughout the year.
