Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Welcome to The Trewarmett Inn, a former coaching inn on the North Cornwall Coast. Your Hosts John and Liz Heard have created a uniquely Cornish Bed & Breakfast experience to share with you.

If you are visiting the area, explore our site to find out the delights that we can offer you on your short or long breaks with us. If you live locally, join us in the Restaurant to enjoy the products of our beautiful local landscape. Our new Car Park opens in May 2008 - plenty of room for everyone.

Our comfortable restaurant serves only the best locally sourced fish, meat and vegetables. We pride ourselves on being able to provide all the beef, pork, gammon, bacon and sausages from our own farm at nearby Condolden.

The Restaurant's speciality is home produced steaks and 'Trewarmett Kobe' Beef and Pork which we feed on Sharps Ale to produce relaxed, sweet and tender meat - a unique experience in this area.

The Restaurant opens at 6.30 and last orders for food are taken by 9 pm. It is always best to reserve your table in advance as we never rush our customers to finish their meal!

Four of the five bedrooms are ensuite with sea views. We can also offer a twin room with shower room on the adjacent landing.

The rooms are recently refurbished and have been furnished to the highest standards. The newly fitted bath or shower rooms provide every comfort and each room has its own tea and coffee making facilities plus a TV.

Landlord John Heard has been farming all his life and he and his father now run their successful beef fattening enterprise at Condolden, less than a mile from Trewarmett up the Trebarwith Valley at Condolden - the highest farm house in Cornwall.

 

Tintagel Attractions

 
This is the view from our Beer Garden and Bedroom windows - you can see all the way to Trevose Head and there are plenty of clear, sunny days to do this!

The local coast is rugged cliffs and small sandy coves. The South West Coast Path is easily accessible and there are plenty of circular routes running from it.

Nearby Trebarwith Strand is a favourite family and surfing beach with all the facilities you require without being over commercialised. Just a little way up the coast is Boscastle with it's quaint harbour, cliff walks and shops.

At Tintagel there is a wealth of historical interest and a wide range of shops. We are in easy reach of towns such as Camelford, Bude, Bodmin, Launceston and an easy drive from the Eden Project, Truro City, Padstow, Newquay and many other places of interest.

An Engine House on the Prince of Wales slate mine. The area has a rich industrial heritage. A recently upgraded Heritage Walk and Car Park is only a stone's throw from the Inn. A good place to wrap yourself in the mystery and gradeur of Cornwall's industrial past - the dog'll love it too!
