Beera is a large traditional Victorian farmhouse built in the 1840’s set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in Devon. The farm is part of the Hardicot Estate consisting of some 3000 acres and was once owned by the Duke of Bedford.
A warm welcome awaits your arrival as does a freshly baked cream tea served in the lounge or garden.
The lounge has extensive views over the garden and countryside.
You can play the piano, listen to music, watch TV, play board games whilst sitting beside a cosy log fire to warm you up on those cold winter nights.
The breakfast room has seperate dining tables, views over the garden and countryside. Special diets can be catered for on request.
All the rooms have en-suite facilities consisting of a wash basin, toilet and power shower. A colour TV, tea/coffee tray, hairdryer, shoe cleaning facilities, toiletries, towels, bathrobes, sewing kit, heaters and blankets for cooler nights.
Provides excellent accommodation for relations and business people wishing to stay near Horsebridge, Milton Abbot, Stoke Climsland, Lamerton, Sydenham Dameral, Callington and Lifton.

Local Attractions

At Roadford Reservoir , (20 minute drive away north of Beera), visitors to the lake can learn to sail, kayak, windsurf and even build a raft. Equipment is available for hire or launch your own.
There is a restaurant on the opposite side of the lake and a play area for children. There is a foot path around the lake where you can also cycle . There are marked walks around the lake varying from ½ a mile to 4 miles.
The lake offers ideal habitats and conditions for birds and bird watching . There is a bird hide at Roadford Lake – Gaddacombe Car Park.
Trout fishing is also available at Roadford.
Burrator Reservoir (20 minutes south east of Beera Farm) is surrounded by mixed woodland which sharply contrasts with the open moor and rugged Dartmoor tors.
The reservoir is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders due to its wealth of footpaths and bridleways. Many of the trails lead onto Dartmoor so it makes an ideal starting point for longer trips. |

From the M5 turn off at junction 31 onto the A30, keep on the A30 going past Exeter and Okehampton, at the Sourton Cross junction turn off the dual carriage way onto the A386 and follow signs for Tavistock, at the first mini roundabout in Tavistock go straight across (sign posted Town Centre), at second roundabout take last exit (sign posted Town Centre), at third roundabout take first exit (sign posted Plymouth), at fourth roundabout (statue of Sir Francis Drake in the centre) take the last exit, at fifth roundabout take the last exit (Spar shop in front of you and a pub), as you go along this road there is a sharp turning to your left (first or second geer needed!) to Milton Abbot and Lamerton on the B3362. Go along this road for 5 1/2 miles and you will enter the village of Milton Abbot, as soon as you enter the village turn left, (sign posted Endsleigh) go down this road for 2.2 miles and Beera is on the left.
Directions from Launceston approaching from Okehampton - turn off the dual carriage way at Launceston. Take the last exit off the pennygilliam round about, sign posted town centre, go under the bridge, into middle lane and immediately turn right, back up onto the dual carriage way but going in the opposite direction, go approx ¼ mile then turn off left onto the slip road then go into the right hand lane, at T junction turn right onto the A388 sign posted Plymouth and Tavistock, go straight across at mini round about still on the A388, after 1 mile turn off left onto the B3362 towards Tavistock go along this road for approx. 6 miles, after going through the village of Milton Abbot, take the first right (opposite the school), sign posted Endsleigh House and Gardens, go down this road for 2.2 miles and Beera Farm is on the left.
