Bed and Breakfast Description

Welcome to Whiteshoots Cottage, a friendly Cotswold Bed and Breakfast (B&B) just a few minutes walk from the lovely village of Bourton on the Water in the heart of the Gloucestershire cotswolds.

The Cotswold region is one of the most beautiful parts of England, famous for the honey coloured cotswold stone used for walls and buildings throughout the area. The Cotswolds are right in the heart of England close to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Oxford but still within 2 hours of London.


Whiteshoots Cottage offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a cotswold stone cottage set in 3 acres of land running down to the Windrush river. The Windrush is the stream that gives Bourton on the Water it's nickname "The Venice of the Cotswolds". The cottage has lovely views across its own land to Bourton on the Water and the hills of the Cotswolds behind. There is lots of space to relax or to let the children run around.

Room 1 - A double bedroom on the ground floor. This room features an impressive iron 4 poster bed with coordinated drapes. It has en-suite shower + WC and a colour television.

Room 2 - A double bedroom on the first floor. This room has a double bed. It has en-suite shower + WC and a colour television.

Room 3 - A family bedroom on the first floor. This room has a double bed and a single bed + an extra pullout bed for a 4th person. It has en-suite shower + WC and a colour television.
Room 4 - A studio apartment in a separate ground floor room outside the main house. This room has a double bed a single bed and bunk beds accommodating up to 5 people in all. It has en-suite shower + WC, a colour television and a Video, it also has a small kitchen area with microwave, refrigerator , table and chairs.

Local Attractions
Just outside the bustle of Bourton on the Water, Whiteshoots Cottage is ideally placed as a base for touring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas from Bath to Stratford upon Avon.

The Cotswold region is one of the most beautiful parts of England, famous for the honey coloured cotswold stone used for walls and buildings throughout the area. The Cotswolds are right in the heart of England close to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Oxford but still within 2 hours of London.

The pretty Cotswold villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter are within walking distance and it is only a short drive to the Cotswold market towns of Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh and Chipping Campden. The attractions of Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Cheltenham, Oxford and Bath are all within an hours drive.
 

B&B Location
Whiteshoots cottage is located at the foot of Whiteshoots Hill (on the A429 Fosse Way, an ancient Roman Road) just a few minutes walk from the Cotswold town of Bourton on the Water.

Just outside the bustle of Bourton on the Water, Whiteshoots Cottage is ideally placed as a base for touring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas from Bath to Stratford upon Avon. There is ample car parking but it is only a few minutes scenic walk along the riverside into the centre of Bourton on the Water.

If you approach from the South, from the direction of Cirencester or Bath, you will come down Whiteshoots Hill (the A429) towards the Junction with the A436 (towards Cheltenham). Whiteshoots cottage is on the right just before you reach the junction, look out for our round burgundy B&B sign.

If you approach from the North, from the direction of Stow on the Wold or Stratford Upon Avon, you will come along the A429 Fosse Way. You will come to traffic lights when you reach Bourton on the Water, do not turn off here, carry on a little further past the junction where the A436 goes off to the right (towards Cheltenham). Just after this junction the road starts to climb up Whiteshoots Hill and you will see our round burgundy B&B sign on your left.
