We welcome B&B guests to Yew Tree Cottage in Turkdean in the heart of the Cotswolds - an ideal base for exploring this beautiful district.
This cottage B&B is a quintessential Cotswolds home providing every modern comfort in a very traditional setting. A perfect 'cottage break'!
Teas in the pretty gardens in the Summer and open fires in the Winter ensure a warm welcome all year round. Recently refurbished, Yew Tree Cottage provides new age comfort with old world charm. The emphasis is on an informal relaxed atmosphere and English home cooking with fresh home-baked breads and cakes and real local produce. All in all, a beautiful Cotswolds B&B.
All rooms have televisions, telephones, tea & coffee making equipment, hairdriers, radios, alarm clocks and are typical of the Cotswold style. Perhaps most importantly - they all have great Cotswold views!
One bedroom (the one on the left above) has that much-prized asset - an 'ensuite' bathroom - while the other two bedrooms have private bathrooms a short step (literally, less than a metre) from the bedroom door for your exclusive use.
The bathrooms pictured below were totally rebuilt in 2001, at which time we added a whole new heating system so that, thankfully, there is copious hot water.
If you would like to bring your dogs they are also very welcome as long as they are happy to be put up in the deluxe canine wing, which consists of the stone-built kennel (as we do not allow dogs - either family, or guests - in the bedrooms.)
As well as the traditional English breakfast part of the B&B, we also enjoy producing kitchen suppers and afternoon teas for guests. We try to use locally-grown and usually organic ingredients from suppliers that we know and like.
In this endeavour we are very lucky to have the splendid Castles Butchers on our doorstep in Northleach, from where we obtain much of the meat that we serve together with other scrumptious deli and dairy products. |
