Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Welcome to Yew Tree House 4 star VisitBritain award. A perfect place for you to stay. A lovely modern stone built house, located in a quiet country village, yet only 1 mile from Brackley, 7 miles from Silverstone Race Circuit, Banbury or M40 motorway and convenient for M1 (junction 15a): Hinton and Turweston Airfields are within just a few minutes drive.

We pride ourselves on offering lovely accommodation , with comfortable beds, decoration to a high standard, welcoming hospitality and a delicious and varied breakfast (either Full English or Continental).

All rooms are centrally heated and have tea/coffee making facilities and television with Freeview and DVD.

En Suite Bedroom. Located on first floor and has the luxury of a super-king size (6’) bed. The recently added en-suite has a shower, wash basin and w.c. The room is spacious and overlooks the garden and fields beyond.

Double Bedroom. First floor. This too is a spacious room and has the benefit of a full private bathroom located next to the bedroom. This room overlooks the front garden.

Family Room. First floor. As the double bedroom is spacious it can easily be adapted to take either an extra one or two single beds. There is a full private bathroom next to this room. Outlook onto front garden.

Ground Floor Double Room with king size double bed (5’). This attractive room overlooks the garden and fields with Brackley in the distance. The room has the use of a shower room, also on the ground floor.

Large twin bedded room with private bathroom on first floor. This room can take an extra 1 or 2 single beds making it a 3 or 4 bedded room.

 

Silverstone Attractions

 
We are only 3 minutes walk from our village pub serving traditional home cooked evening meals ( excluding Mondays) and cask ales. If required we can always make table reservations on your behalf.


Bordering on Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Hinton-in-the-Hedges is well situated for M40 and M1 motorways. Centrally located in South Midlands visitors have a wide choice activities in which they can participate.

Those looking for Action and Adventure, Silverstone ‘Home of British Motor Racing’ and Towcester Racecourse are within 15 minutes drive, while Hinton Skydiving Centre is only minutes away.

For visitors interested in gardens and grandeur there is Althorpe House (former home of Diana, Princess of Wales), Canons Ashby or Sulgrave Manor all within easy reach.

Directions from the South using the M40 Junction 10 - Take the A43 towards Brackley/Silverstone/Northampton. Go straight ahead at two roundabouts and at the third roundabout turn left at the signpost for Charlton, Hinton-in-the-Hedges and King Sutton. After about a mile turn right at sign for Hinton-in-the-Hedges and the village green is ahead of you.

Directions from North using M40 Junction 11 - Take A422 towards Brackley and Northampton. Continue along A422 for approximately 6 miles (Do not turn off to Brackley) turn right at signpost Hinton-in-the-Hedges. Travel along a single-track road for one mile to bring you to the village green.

Direction from M1 Junction 15a - Take A43 towards Oxford and Brackley. Continue on A43 (Passed Silverstone turn off) do not go into Brackley town but continue to island showing A422 signposted to Banbury follow A422. After approximately a ¼ of a mile turn left, signposted Hinton-in-the-Hedges (single track road).

For all directions - At village green with post-box on right hand side take third entrance on right through double wooden gates.

Nearest Restaurant/Bistro: Pub - The Crewe Arms  (3  Minutes Walk)

Nearest Public House/Bar: The Crewe Arms  (3  Minutes Walk)
