Bed and Breakfast Description
The house is 16th century, originally built as three farm cottages and offers a wonderful combination of ancient features and modern comfort. We are located on the edge of the Cleave, a beautiful wooded river valley on the eastern slopes of Dartmoor. From here there is direct access onto the more rugged parts of the moor. The garden has stunning views over the Wray Valley to the east and is sheltered by the Cleave from the west. We have 2 double rooms en suite, one with a balcony overlooking the view. There is a bunk-roomavailable for children. We provide delicious aga-cooked breakfasts and eggs from our own hens.

Primrose Cottage Tea Rooms The Devon Guild of Craftsmen Castle Drogo Canonteign Falls Our postman Nick runs guided walks around Lustleigh which are great fun for those who wish to see the area. Just down the road our friend Guy Risdon runs First Aid and rescue training. There are many beautiful walks around Lustleigh and the lovely attractions of East Dartmoor such as Haytor and Becky Falls (voted this year 'The Top Beauty Spot in Devon'). We are also only forty minutes drive from the south coast, providing easy access to Dartmouth and its surrounding beaches.

B&B Location

From the centre of the village of Lustleigh with the church on your right and facing the village shop, turn left out of the village. Follow this lane to a steep T junction and turn right signed North Bovey, Pethybridge and Cleave. Follow this lane for approx 1 mile. You will go round a blind bend with a small thatched cottage on the corner on the right and Hammerslake is the next house on the right, set back from the road, with a tiled roof. There is a B&B sign on the road.
