Our hotel is located right in the centre of town, close to the local art galleries, restaurants, shops, harbour and beaches. The railway station, bus station and taxi rank are also nearby. One of the best located hotels for your holiday in St Ives.
We have fifteen en-suite bedrooms including doubles, twins and singles. A great place to stay in the heart of town.
The hotel has a large function room where we can cater for a variety of events and occasions - parties, weddings and other functions.
We also have two public bars, which serve local real ales and the usual range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee.
Wireless Internet access is available in our bars, beer garden and some of the bedrooms.
The Western stages live music on several nights each week, which includes all styles from traditional folk to rock. St Ives Jazz Club meets here every Tuesday night.
We cater for both the holiday and commercial sectors, and we can also accommodate group bookings for mixed-sex parties, sports teams/clubs, schools etc. - please contact us for details.
All of our bedrooms and bars are non-smoking, but we do have a purpose built outdoor area for smokers with plenty of seating and shelter. |

St Ives is one of the most beautiful towns in the country, surrounded by the sea and with four sandy beaches ......
Porthminster, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden and The Harbour beaches are only a short walk away - click on the image (below right) for a map.
The town is also known across the world as one of the birthplaces of modern art. There are dozens of galleries including the world class Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Leach Pottery.
There is also a huge range of shops and restaurants for all tastes. The local theatre and cinema are right next door. All of these are within a short walk of the Western.
Tate St Ives
The town's own world class gallery located in an amazing setting on Porthmeor Beach. Exhibitions change through the year with a mixture of St Ives artists and works from the Tate collection.
Whether you enjoy the art is a matter of taste and depends on the current exhibition. In any case it is worth visiting just for the stunning architecture and setting. You can enter the shop, cafe and roof terrace for free.
Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden
Hepworth, who died in 1975, asked in her will that Trewyn Studios and the adjacent garden, with a group of her sculptures placed as she wished, be permanently open to the public.
Visiting the Museum and Garden is a unique experience, which gives remarkable insight into the work and outlook of one of Britain's most important twentieth-century artists.
