Hairdryers are available in rooms or on request. We're sorry, we do not accept pets. We have on-site parking. There are scenic walks in the surrounding area. Smoking is not permitted in the establishment. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

The Cobbles offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a quaint fisherman’s cottage and former pilchard press, situated in the Downalong area in the heart of the town, next door to the Penwith gallery. It is also fortunate to be able to offer limited parking directly in front of the cottage.

The cosy bedrooms have an abundance of character and charm enhanced by Cornish works of art, including many by local artists Angela Diggle and Susie Brooks.

The Cobbles takes its name from the stones removed when the cellar was converted to living accommodation and can now be found at the front of the property forming the current parking spaces.

The property has now been converted in to a bed and breakfast and still retains the charm of the original cottage whilst offering clean and comfortable accommodation. Fortunately the smell of fish has long gone!

 

St Ives Attractions

 
The Cobbles ideal location is only minutes from the harbour, galleries and shops. There are many beautiful sandy beaches varying in character, from Porthmeor on the north of the town enjoyed by surfers, to the family friendly beaches of Porthgwidden and Porthminster, all within just a few minutes walking distance.

There are numerous excellent cafes and restaurants suiting all tastes and budgets, many specialising in fresh local fish.
