Bed and Breakfast Description

 

All the rooms have unspoilt views across the fields where rare breed cattle - the Suffolk Red Polls graze and there is abundant birdsong. Pitch black nights and utter peace and tranquility.

We have restored the house sympathetically over the last few years and have built on two spacious bathrooms to bring the house into the twenty first century.

We make your stay very comfortable and all our rooms have fresh flowers, lovely fabrics and laundered bedlinen - hopefully all you need for a relaxing stay.

We are sorry but no children under 12 years old, no dogs and no smoking.

We are sure you will thoroughly enjoy staying in our lovely and relaxed home.

Uggeshall Attractions

 
Henham Park hosts the ever increasingly popular 'Latitude' concert weekend that takes place every July whilst at other times of the year there are events like the 'Steam Rally' and the 'Wings & Wheels' events.

Southwold is under a 10 minute drive and offers a pretty, peaceful and unspoilt traditional sea-side resort which is now blessed with a new 'Victorian' style pier which was completed in 2003 and offers superb views of the town and the lighthouse. (make sure you look at the unexpected events that happen at the water driven clock, especially on the hour and half past the hour!) The old fashioned Victorian style 'Under The Pier Show' amusements are well worth a look at, whatever your age!

There are many interesting shops in the town and a number of good eating establishments. Beach huts can be rented on the promenade (we can assist with bookings). There is a safe sandy award winning bathing beach (Awarded a 'Blue Flag' again in 2007) which has lifeguards in season, and a long pretty promenade for those leisurely walks.

Church Farmhouse Uggeshall is located one mile from the A12 and ten minutes by car from Southwold.
It is in a wonderful position to discover this unspoilt part of Suffolk with Framlingham, Aldeburgh, Bungay, Snape and Orford, within easy reach. The wonderful perennials plant nursery Woottens at Wenhaston, the RSPB bird sanctuary at Minsmere and the wonderful sandy beach at Walberswick are all within quarter of an hour.

Art and music abound in Suffolk and there are second-hand book shops, the summer theatre in Southwold, antique shops, fascinating and very varied churches, wonderful walks along the coast, ancient woodlands, historic buildings, fascinating churches and much more!
