St. Patrick's Bed and Breakfast is located in a quiet and scenic area near Ennis in County Clare, Ireland. The location near the Ennis bypass of the N18 makes it the ideal place to stay before you flight departs out of Shannon Airport, or after your arrival there. It is central to all the sights of County Clare, from Bunratty Castle to the Cliffs of Moher, from Lough Derg to Loop Head Peninsula.

The beautiful lawned garden is the
perfect place to relax after your day full of activities! The guest lounge provides comfort in the evenings and the breakfast in our dining room will prepare you well for the day ahead!
A quiet night's sleep can nearly be assured in our ensuite and standard double, twin and family bedrooms.

We're looking forward to your stay in our house and will do everything to make it a enjoyable one

About County Clare
We're located in Doora, a 5 mins. drive from Ennis, and only 2 mins from the N18 Ennis bypass in Co. Clare, Ireland. Shannon Airport and Bunratty Castle are both only a couple of Minutes away. The click here will bring you to the page with maps of our location.

County Clare is well renowned for its natural beauty, for traditional Irish music and for the hospitality of the people. Our house is ideally located centrally to all the sights the county has to offer!

What to see in County Clare
Ennis has picturesque streets with colourful shop fronts, the well preserved cloister ruins of Ennis Friary and Clare Abbey, the Glor Irish Music centre and the Clare Museum - all well worth a visit. A variety of traditional pubs provide traditional and contemporary evening entertainment. For dining out you also have a good choice between a number of restaurants and hotels in town.

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park give an insight into Irish living in medieval and 19th century times. Knappogue Castle is surrounded by a beautiful Victorian walled garden. Medieval dinners are held in both castles.
Only a few minutes driving brings you to Quin Abbey, the best preserved abbey in Ireland's Mid-West region, and to Craggaunowen Stone Age Project featuring a reconstructed Iron Age lake-dwelling as well as Ring Forts in a quiet woodland setting.

Riding: The Clare Equestrian Centre is in the same village and offering a wide variety of activities suiting all ages and levels of experience!

Angling: County Clare is a paradise for anglers with well stocked rivers and lakes in all areas. Sea fishing is possible from several ports along the coast, e.g. Kilkee, Carrigaholt, Quilty, Liscannor.

There are several excellent golf courses only a short drive away, the Clare Equestrian Centre is next door, and the Mid Clare Walking route is passing by the house.
 

B&B Location
From Shannon/Bunratty/Limerick:
Leave N18 motorway at the Ennis/Ennistymon/N85 Exit. Take the right lane (!) on the exit, this will take you into the first roundabout. Cross the bridge to next roundabout, from there follow signs to Quin. Follow this road to Doora (2 mins.), then proceed as outlined below. (Should you unfortunately have taken the left lane on the exit into the Ennis direction, please turn back on the next roundabout, about 300 mtrs down the 2-lane road)
From Gort/Galway:
Take the N18 in direction to Limerick. Leave the N18 Ennis bypass at the Ennis/Ennistymon (N85) Exit, follow signs to Quin. You'll get to Doora after about 2 mins. Proceed as outlined below.
From Ennis town/Cliffs of Moher:
Follow signs for Shannon Airport /Limerick-N85. Exit at Quin sign. Drive 1km to Doora.
In Doora:
In village turn right at graveyard/church. The house is on the right side, opposite the church.
