Bed and Breakfast Description
Millslade Country Guest House is an ideal Location for walking, fishing and anyone who wants a relaxing break. Pets Welcome. Nestling alongside the East Lyn river in a secluded valley on Exmoor, Millslade is a small, family-run country guest house. The resident proprietors Keith and Carol Cobb offer a warm and friendly welcome for all those wishing to enjoy the raw beauty of the Exmoor countryside, yet wish to retain all the pleasures of home. Decorated to a high standard, Millslade House is comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. Originally an early 18th century coaching inn, there is a spacious residents' lounge with a log fire, interesting bar lounge and elegant dining room. Our guest house can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in a mix of doubles and twin room, we have a large family room which will also accommodate two children. Our Five double rooms are all en suite and each is generously equipped to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. Well behaved dogs are always welcome.



Local Attractions
We are ideally placed for walking and exploring the beauty and wildlife of Exmoor, The Brendon Valley, the famous Lorna Doone country and the North Devon coast. Exmoor is one of our finest landscapes and an important part of our national heritage. It is protected for the conservation of its scenery, wildlife and cultural heritage and for the understanding and enjoyment which it can provide. The environment is tranquil and relaxing, ideal for forgetting the stresses that life and work can bring. Exmoor offers certain qualities which are valued more as life becomes hectic and stressful. These include tranquillity, beauty, unspoilt countryside, fresh air and outdoor recreation. It is said that "a change is as good as a rest" and an important quality of Exmoor is its distinct scenery and culture. You can see it's wild red deer and ponies and local breeds of farm animals. The landscape includes wild and remote coastlines, open moors and heaths, ancient oak woodland, beech hedge banks as well as distinctive buildings and archaeological features.

If you are travelling by car we are on the A39 road, three miles from Lynton, Lynmouth and the coast, 12 miles from Porlock and 18 miles from Minehead.

By rail you can come to either Taunton (two hours from London) or Bamstaple.

We can arrange for a taxi to meet your train.
