Bed and Breakfast Description

We offer traditional and comfortable double rooms with their own bathrooms. Bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities and colour TV (with Sky).
We also supply towels.

If it is cool, do not worry as rooms are centrally heated.
Above all we want our guests to feel welcome and 'at home', and enjoy their stay with us.

A lounge is provided for guests where we have broadband wi-fi connection and guests are very welcome to use this facility to keep up-to-date with their emails!!

There is a wood burning 'Clearview' fire, plenty enough to keep visitors nicely toasted on the chilliest of days.

Of course, the house is centrally heated but in the summer the old and thick stonewalls provide a cool haven from the heat.

If you like a little music we have a good selection of CDs and records.
If films are what you prefer to fill that odd hour after dinner, we can provide drama, excitement, romance and more with a selection of DVDs.
All this can be provided in comfort in the historic lounge.

Local Attractions
Whether visiting family in the area, enjoying the many gardens, coast and countryside, cycling, walking, theatrical and craft events, attending courses, festivals, archaeology, adventure, house hunting or business - whatever brings them to North Devon - all are guaranteed a warm friendly welcome.

Using their own knowledge and experience Gill and George can provide information for guests, supplementing the printed tourism leaflets provided. They can suggest a plan for the day to help guests navigate their way through the picturesque North Devon countryside and if required help with the loan of a map. With a little notice packed lunches can be prepared.
 

B&B Location
From the north and east (direction of the M5), follow the A361 to the roundabout at the junction of the B3227.

There turn left and follow the road into the market town of South Molton.
Continue to follow the B3227 in the direction of Umberleigh and Torrington.

On reaching Umberleigh, cross the River Taw bridge and at the 'T' junction (opposite the Rising Sun P.H.) turn right.

After some 500 yards or so turn left onto the continuation of the B3227, signposted Torrington.

After about 4 miles turn left at crossroads, signposted Roborough. This crossroads comes at the end of a stretch of woodland on the left side. Be careful or you may miss this turning.

Having turned, continue for approximately 2 miles and you will see a small chapel and telephone kiosk on the right.

Immediately after this turn first right at the five-way junction signposted Kingscott.

Follow the straight road down to the next crossroads and turn right.
We are the house 100 yards on the right.
