They designed and built it over 30 years ago, and created their beautiful garden out of a field. The garden is now open annually for charity, and guests are welcome to enjoy it. The heated swimming pool is also open, during the summer to guests before breakfast (works up a terrific appetite!) or late afternoon after a long day sight seeing. Jocelyne enjoys cooking and produces unusual breakfasts and evening meals, often augmented with herbs and produce from Clive’s vegetable garden. Bring your own wine, and if it is fine we will serve you your supper in the conservatory or even on the terrace. When you prefer to eat out or Jocelyne is busy, there is an excellent pub 1 mile away. For sight seeing, our guests are spoilt! Arundel Castle is only 2 miles away, and there is a plethora of antique and boutique shops in Arundel itself. Chichester Cathedral, Goodwood House, Uppark, Parham and Petworth are all within a half-hour drive, and when you are sated with culture, try walking or garden visiting—the South Down beckon and we have guide books aplenty. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and look forward to welcoming you to our much loved home and it’s owners, Bendicks and Bittermint, our Burmese cats! |
