Bed and Breakfast Description

Gary and Hannah offer a warm welcome, relaxing atmosphere and comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in our 6 en-suite rooms (2 of which are located on the ground floor).

Secure Gated car parking is at the rear of the house, together with secure garage parking for motor cycles and bicycles. Drying facilities are available as is wireless internet access.

We are a no-smoking house and we have a Fire Alarm System.
Cirencester is the perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds, both the town and surrounding areas have many attractions and amenities.

Visitors to Cirencester often also build in trips to other towns and villages such as Tetbury, Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford, Bibury and Cheltenham.

Local Attractions
The Old Bungalow is situated in Cirencester, the heart of the Cotswolds. We are in a prime position for you to access a wealth of activities, attractions and amenities in Cirencester as well as nearby Tetbury, Burford, Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, Cheltenham and other locations in the Cotswolds.

Cirencester is a lively town with a twice-weekly market held on Monday and Friday in the impressive Market Place. There is also a Farmers Market on the 2nd and 4th Saturday in the month.

Cirencester itself dates from Roman Times and the award winning Corinium Museum tells the story. £5 million has been spent in recent years transforming the museum into a "must-see" visitor attraction.

The parish church of St. John the Baptist dominates the town centre and is one of the finest Cotswold 'wool' churches.

The nearby Cotswold Water Park boasts over 130 lakes and is Britain's largest water park. Attractions include nature walks, bird watching, the Thames trail, angling, sailing, jet skiing and so much more... Cirencester also has a Leisure Centre and Theatre. The renowned Royal Agricultural College lies on the outskirts of the town, just 2 miles from The Old Bungalow.

Other places of interest are:- Barnsley House Gardens, Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water and Westonbirt Arboretum. Further afield is Cheltenham (famous for the "Gold Cup", run during the Cheltenham Festival held each year in March), Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon - just to mention a few!

In our cosy conservatory/lounge you will find a wide selection of brochures and leaflets on the many local attractions.

There is always plenty to do - if you want to!
 

B&B Location
We are 600 yards from the town centre - a walk of approx. 5 minutes.
There is a National Express Bus Stop in London Road – a walk of approx 5 minutes.
The main train station at Kemble is 4 miles away, 10 minutes by car.
There are a number of local taxi services that have accessible taxis if required. We can supply contact numbers so that you may make a booking if required.

To find your way to The Old Bungalow from the M4 Motorway:

Turn off the M4 at Junction 15
Proceed onto the A419 in the direction of Swindon/Cirencester
Follow the A419 to Cirencester (approx 18 miles)
At the roundabout follow signs for "Town Centre"
At the first set of traffic lights (approx 150 yards) turn left into Victoria Road
The Old Bungalow is situated approx. 300 yards on the left hand side of Victoria Road

To find your way to The Old Bungalow from the M5 Motorway:

Turn off the M5 at Junction 11a
Follow the A417 to Cirencester (approx 16 miles)
At the roundabout follow sign to Cirencester
At the next roundabout follow sign to "Town Centre"
At the first set of traffic lights (approx 150 yards) turn left into Victoria Road
The Old Bungalow is situated approx. 300 yards on the left hand side of Victoria Road
