We are in a quiet residential location overlooking a wooded green with plenty of free on-road parking. A family-run guesthouse, where we pride ourselves on high levels of cleanliness and service, and your breakfasts are cooked to order.
Clive and Diane invite you to share the family atmosphere and high standards. Whether you are staying with us for a relaxing holiday, a short break, visiting family or friends in the area, playing golf, walking or you are in South Devon on business, a warm welcome awaits you at Avron House.

Only a ten minute walk from the breathtaking Babbacombe Downs and Cliff Railway, and a 15 minute downhill walk to the Town Centre and Harbour. An ideal touring base for South Devon, as we are within walking distance of the centre and many local attractions, but far enough away to give you that quiet retreat for a relaxing break.
Torquay is the largest of the three resorts which form Torbay, known as the English Riviera. With its sunshine, sub tropical palm trees, plants and flowers it is the ideal holiday destination either during the summer months or with the benefit of its mild climate, early or late holidays in the year.
The amenities make Torquay one of the most successful resorts in Britain. We now have the added attraction of the Leisure Centre with the latest in water fun. There are many places of interest to visit nearby, whether you are single, a couple, or a family, you won't run out of things to do.
Walking - Miles of walks including the South West Coastal Path, Dartmoor and river walks. Swimming and beaches - Many nearby, Torquay and Paignton have many of the best beaches in the West Country. |

Approaching Torquay from Newton Abbot on the A380, you will come to a main set of traffic lights with Torbay hospital on your right, take the left hand lane by Curry's and turn left following the T.U.F.C sign (Torquay United Football Club) - you will go past Staples on your right hand side. Straight over the first roundabout through Hele, down the hill to a twin mini roundabout.
Turn left at the first roundabout, then right at the second travelling up the hill. You will come to a set of traffic lights, carry on through for approx. 500 yards then turn right into Cary Park Road, go to the end and turn right.
Avron House is 150 yards on your right. If you are experiencing problems or totally lost, please phone and we will guide you in. This is the easiest way in, it avoids most of the town centre traffic.
