Situated in 13 acres of peaceful countryside half way between Mullion Cove and Mullion village, it is the perfect base for exploring the unique magical Lizard Peninsula, an area designated as being of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall.
Our imposing Victorian Farmhouse has extremely well-appointed first-floor bedrooms, two double and one twin, all with shower and W.C. en-suite and Free view colour TV.
Our guests' downstairs lounge has plenty of books, information on 'what to do' and 'where to go' and maps for you to borrow. You are also welcome to relax in our colour full garden's or up by the outdoor heated swimming pool. There is a separate bathroom for those who prefer a bath.
The mainly Cornish stone 'Smokehouse' is a delightful double room with a shower over the bath, fully en-suite. It has its own entrance and private courtyard with table and chairs to relax the days away. It is ideal for dog owners! (but no dogs in July and August please).
Breakfast is served in our plant filled Garden Room.
Trenance is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Many stories are told of smugglers, revenue men, murders and ghosts. However, Trenance is now a relaxing retreat and the perfect base for exploring the unique and magical Lizard Peninsular, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The old farm buildings are converted into extremely comfortable, well-equipped cottages, set in mature gardens, about 1/2 mile from Mullion Village and Mullion Cove.
The Lizard Peninsula is superb walking country and in less than 5 minutes you can walk across the fields to the South West coastal path where breath-taking views await you.
You will love our swimming pool. It is open from late May to the beginning of September and is heated to between 75 - 80 Fahrenheit.
To keep children entertained we have a safe play area with swing and two games rooms, one with a 6ft snooker table, the other with full size table tennis. |

Mullion is a thriving village, just 1/2 mile away, with grocers, chemist, Post Office, garage and doctors surgery. In fact, all you need for your holiday can be found here. There are restaurants, two pubs, also an art gallery and craft center where mouth-watering chocolates are made.
The coastline, mostly National Trust owned, is truly magnificent, with small sandy swimming/surfing coves and rugged cliffs adorned with wonderful rare plants and flowers. Excellent walking country.
Cornwall is the perfect place for 'sub-tropical' plants and there are more than 70 beautiful gardens to visit, some open occasionally, others open all the year round. The Eden Project is well worth a visit also nearby Trebah, Trevarno and Bonython to name a few.
Horse riding is available 1/2 mile away and Million golf course is within 2 miles, where visitors are welcome.
Sailing, boating and fishing are all available within a radius of 11 miles, plus there are plenty of tourist attractions to visit on those days when the weather is not so kind
Porthkerris Divers are a Professional PADI 5* Dive Center located on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. They offer the whole range of PADI Scuba Diving Courses, from beginner to Instructor. You can also have a go at diving with a “Try Dive” under the expert guidance of an Instructor. Porthkerris has one of the best shore dives in the country and they also offer RIB & hard boat charters to all the local reefs and wrecks.
