Bed and Breakfast Description

For your comfort all rooms are centrally heated and equipped with television and hospitality tea and coffee tray. Marion and Harry have extensive local knowledge of the local and wider area attractions for you to visit during your stay.
We offer a full Scottish Breakfast or a lighter varied choice for those who prefer an alternative. All dietary requirements are catered for please just let us know.
Families can be accommodated and are most welcome.
We have no single rooms, but suited tariff can be negotiated. |

Local Attractions
|
Clyde View is on the beautiful Cowal Peninsula two miles south of the Argyll Forest Park and the lovely Benmore Botanical Gardens. There is a restaurant and shop within a short walking distance. The nearest town is Dunoon again several miles south, and the town has a varied choice of restaurants, cafes and shopping.
Dunoon is home to the largest Highland Gathering in the World, held at the end of August, "The Cowal Games". With over 160 pipe bands in a spectacular march past, through our local town centre, and to end the games a fantastic fireworks display, courtesy of Western Ferries Clyde Limited.
There are several good challenging golf courses in the immediate area. Other activities include, Climbing, Quad Biking, River Rocket, Tennis, Cycling, Horse riding, Clay pigeon shooting etc. Sea and Loch Fishing.

B&B Location
|
By road: - From Glasgow, follow the M8 to McInroys Point, Gourock, then board Western Ferries frequent car ferry service to Hunters Quay, Dunoon. Turn right on leaving the ferry car park and continue to the T-junction, right again, Clyde View is under a mile on the left side of the road.
Train: - An hourly service from Glasgow to Gourock connects with the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry service to Dunoon pierhead. The bus terminus is to your right. Either the Ardentinny or the Strachur Service will bring you to here.
Air: - To Glasgow Airport then a shuttle bus to Glasgow Buchanan Street and board the bus for Gourock, then as above to Dunoon, with the bus service as above. There is a taxi rank also outside the ferry terminal.
The scenic route by road: - Glasgow to Tarbet on Loch Lomond, turn left to Arrochar on Loch Long, continue up The Rest and Be Thankful and take the left turn marked Dunoon, continue down the side of Loch Fyne to Strachur, turn left still following signs for Dunoon, continue along the road on the shores of Loch Eck, past Benmore Botanical Gardens, then a Garage on your left, continue along the shore of The Holy Loch, Clyde View is immediately after the 30 miles per hour sign.
